"Land of Confusion" almost feels like some sort of "sequel in spirit" of Pearl Jam's "Do the Evolution" video, not only because the similar animation style (and the fact this was also co-directed by Todd McFarlane) but also because it deals with similar themes, making a harsh criticism of systemic injustice, violence, the horrors of war, and human cruelty.

However, unlike "Do the Evolution" , and despite the dark themes, "Land of Confusion" manages to be a little bit more optimistic, as it shows humanitiy ultimately rebelling and overthrowing their opressors, instead of being mere participants of the inevitable apocalypse depicted in the former video.

While "Do the Evolution" is definately more iconic, this is also a nice video. Shame it is kinda overlooked in comparison with its predecessor.
