Geoff's shirt gets muddy and stained when he jumps on top of the broken water pipe, ostensibly to protect Erica, yet in the next scene, he's wearing the same shirt, and it's completely clean. In the following scene in the principal's office with Erica and Beverly, the shirt is stained again.
Erica agrees to help her mom dig up the time capsule because Beverly promises never to bother Erica at school the next year, which will be her senior year. Yet in the first season (which ostensibly took place two years before this one), Erica is already either a junior or a senior. It has never been mentioned that she is being held back academically, so why is Erica still in high school when two years before she was looking at colleges and making major decisions about whether to leave the area when she graduated?
Moreover, if Erica is entering her senior year when Adam is entering his freshman year, she's only three years older than he is, which renders many of the flashbacks throughout the series completely impossible. In earlier episodes, it is clear that Erica is at least five or six years older than Adam.
