The inscriptions on the St Nicholas medal that Uriza gives to McGee are in English. It was his daughter's so it should have been in Spanish.
Near the start Torres puts a gun to the head of the helicopter pilot and tells him to turn back and pick up Gibbs and McGee. A bit stupid. If Torres had shot the pilot then the helicopter would crash and there would be no way to rescue the two men. Also everyone on board would be killed, totally defeating the purpose of the original rescue mission.
The female Marine sitting in the last chair to the left at the Senate hearing is wearing the insignia of a Joint Chief of Staff, yet she is wearing the rank insignia of a Lieutenant Colonel. In order to be a Joint Chief an officer must be at least an O-9 pay-grade; which in the Air Force, Army and Marine Corps is a Lieutenant General and in the Coast Guard and Navy is a Vice Admiral (three stars). Though usually the only O-9 is the Vice Chairman, the rest of the Joint Chiefs are O-10's (four star Admiral or General). So a Lieutenant Colonel (O-5 pay-grade) is far too low in rank to be a Joint Chief.
