Pretty good info, but she's selling something, and why on PBS?
When Suze had a weekend show where she took the audience's questions and answered them, I thought she had pretty solid advice. AND she was not selling anything. In this show she is answering questions AND she actually IS talking up her own products. In other words, this is an infomercial. What's worse is it is on PBS. What's even worse is it gets repeated ad nauseum during pledge drives. I really can't fault Suze. It is not like she is telling the audience anything way off base, although I would dispute her view of trusts. Trusts only cover the assets you have listed. Every time you want to move money from one investment to something new, you have to alter the trust or the trust does not apply. I only know this because of the death of my parents who happened to have a trust and only two items were covered.
However, I have to wonder what is up with PBS. Why are they showing this stuff during pledge drives? Don't they know that infomercials tend to make people scurry away? Why not show something that makes me want to donate to PBS like Frontline, Nova, or Nature? Just my two cents.
