Another strong episode of the show, though they don't seem to know quite what to do with Alex by this stage of its run.

Modern family had two gay main characters and never shy'd away from talking about social issus since 2009, but this episode is just... weird. Jay the old white is worried about his black neighbours while lilly is being called a "baby bigot" by her two gay parents because they thought she insulted a trans kid.
Yeah... . I don't know what the writers where smoking on when they wrote the script for this, but it must have been a hell of a drug to produce an episode like this. Possibly the worst episode if it weren't for the Phil segment which was hilarious. Bumps it up from being a 0/10 to a 2/10.
