Well Acted and Well Written Short Thriller
timothygartin16 May 2020
This is a very uncomfortable short film to watch given the strong performances by the mom and daughter. At the beginning, I felt for the daughter and at the end I felt for the mom. The film is internally consistent with the story following through on the idea that if you home school a child with the wrong information, bad results may occur.

The big issue is that it lacks thrills, scares or anything other than unease. Also, the supernatural angle is not developed enough to really understand its implications.

With a little extra care, this could have been really compelling.

Well crafted short with memorable idea

"What's wrong with daddy?" - "Nothing! Nothing's wrong." - "But why is he rotting?" - "He's testing us. He's rotting a little bit... to see how we react..."

Perfect acting, setting and atmosphere, story and it's main idea is pretty depressive. Very effective ending. I recommend this picture to all undecided schizophrenics and fanatical cleaning ladies. Folie à deux!

VERY WELL ACTED

I found this little gem on YouTube and was surprised at the high caliber acting. I was starting to think shorts didn't have character development because of their abbreviated length, however this one changed my whole perspective! Great cast- great script, great filmography - a creeptastic way t spend 25 minutes!!

about power

...and about education. truth. discovers. illusion. and grow up. a film impressive for cinematography and for the inspired performances of the lead roles. for details. for a creepy story becoming, scene by scene, more profound. and for the few memorable images , describing basic truths in splendid manner. a good horror. and little more.
