"The Grinder: New Orleans," a spinoff of the original hit series, asks Dean to film a scene giving closure to his beloved character, Mitch Grinder. Not surprisingly, Dean struggles with being replaced by his TV brother, Rake. Meanwhile Stewart, who has also been feeling replaced by his brother in Ethan's eyes, jumps at the opportunity to get Dean back into acting and out of his hair.
Dean's character Mitch Grinder lost his series, in favor of his brother rake's spin-off The Grinder- New Orleans, but never dies, and director Cliff Bemis wants him to play such swan song. Dean furiously seeks legal recourse to prevent it, which Stuart ultimately finds, but the ensuing contact with rake-performer Timothy Oliphant makes Stuart reconsider his plan get Dean out of his hair by a return to Hollywood, having two divas on hand, messing in the family law firm. Ultimately the real brothers dynamic primes and both switch position on whether Micth should die on screen.—KGF Vissers
