- Laurie goes off on an all women's spiritual retreat to escape damage at home with mentally ill mother, but when she gets where she's going the damage there may be more trouble than what she left behind.
- Laurie is convinced by her aunt Joan to go on a spiritual retreat to escape her troubled life living with a pill popping insane mother. But when Joan and the women arrive to pick up Laurie in a funeral flower van, she's less than enthused. At the retreat she is equally wowed by what seems to be cult-like status of the retreat's leader, Sharon, and gets her sarcastic on with another younger woman, quiet and depressed, Marnie, and takes her emotional hostage. At Laurie's urging, they sneak off in the direction of what sounds like a party, but find and spy on two hunters seemingly engaged in some sort of satanic ritual. But really it's just Jake and Junior, two weekend warriors off on a bender moonlighting as hunters and high on 'shrooms. In the morning the neophytes mistake Sharon meditating in a field for a deer and shoot her. They try and hide her body, but Laurie, reacting badly to the weirdest woman of all, Mona, runs back to the hunters thinking she can recapture the good times of the previous night, unknowing of what lays in the backseat of their car.—Amanda Cole
- Young troubled Laurie goes on an all woman's spiritual retreat to escape her toxic household, but when she gets there, the women of the retreat may be more troubled than at home. On the first night of "festivities" Laurie finds herself put off by the women's victim stories and takes another young woman, Marnie, hostage on her quest for a good time. When they hear male laughter in the woods, they trot off into the night to investigate. What they find are two seemingly harmless weekend warriors, having taken too many drugs, partying and communing with deer parts, before going off to hunt. The girls are grossed out and are almost spotted then dash back to camp. In the morning, the women are awoken by gunfire, and don't think too much of it. But when Sharon, the leader of the retreat goes missing, it's everything to do with the deer hunters and no one has a clue. Laurie is set off by the camp's craziest of women, Mona, and this time has a small breakdown in the woods, not finding any comfort in the crazies at camp. In order to kill the pain, she seeks the hunters out for a party.
