- TriviaWhen Joe West first introduces himself to Eliza Harmon as a detective, she responds, "How very Law and Order of you." Jesse L. Martin, the actor who plays Det. Joe West, starred as Detective Ed Green on the TV series Law & Order from 1999 to 2008.
- GoofsWhen Barry aims to jump the broken bridge, it is stated that he must run at mach 3.3. This is 2532 MPH (4075 KPH). When the camera switches to S.T.A.R. Labs, it shows him running 2274 MPH. This being said, he would have fallen into the river below. (Even if he only had to do it for a second, it is implied that he did not lose 258 MPH.)
- Quotes
Dr. Harrison Wells: So to reach escape velocity, you're gonna have to go... that fast.
Barry Allen: Well, that fast is impossible. I can promise you that.
Dr. Harrison Wells: Uh-uh, uh-uh, "Nothing in life is promised except death."
Barry Allen: Edgar Allan Poe?
Dr. Harrison Wells: Kanye West.

After 4 long weeks without Arrow or Flash, the CW returns this week, the same week as Batman V Superman drops. I hoped 'Trajectory' would begin an epic week of DC comics, and it didn't completely disappoint. It was yet another filler week of the show, but it didn't overtly subtract from the flow of the season. It used the character of Trajectory and added to the ongoing Zoom conflict, so I can appreciate that.
We had 4 weeks without Flash and it seems Team Flash needed a similar break as they went out to a low level club with Wally and Iris (In typical CW fashion). We got some crazy gif worthy Cisco dancing but also some possible romances blossoming. Iris and Barry touched upon their supposedly inevitable future together and Wally and Jesse seemed to have some interest in each other. That was really all Wally got to do tonight, but Jesse proved to have the biggest arc out of everyone. She found out about all of the sketchy stuff Harry has been doing to save her, and it rubbed her the wrong way. This all led to Jesse eventually taking off and heading to Opal City to get away from it all. With Velocity 9 potentially still in her system, you have to wonder what state Jesse will be in the next time we see her.
The rest of the team was tasked with taking on Trajectory, the first female speedster on the show, who's using her powers to commit crimes across Central City. I enjoyed Allison Paige's performance as the troubled scientist who can't resist the drug, much in the same way Norman Osbourne couldn't resist his Goblin alter ego in Spider-Man. We didn't get a ton of Speedster vs Speedster action but her importance to the team's realization about the Jay-Zoom- Velocity 9 stuff was nicely handled. I hope to see her back someday, although it seems she's either dead or trapped in the speed-force.
The last major arc of the episode came from Iris and her editor, Scott, back at the paper. As frustrating as it was to see the story line of a paper clumsily turning on a hero before further investigation, I'm glad to see it's only going to last one episode. What won't last one episode is the relationship between Iris and Scott. It was similarly just as awkward as the Jesse-Wally interaction was, but perhaps it makes more sense than her and Barry do, who knows. Overall, it was an okay episode of the Flash that furthered the overarching plot with Zoom while also giving us some fun moments with Allison Paige's Trajectory.
