- TriviaThis episode is largely a parody of Donald Trump's presidential campaign. Mr. Garrison's campaign rhetoric against Canadian immigration and his desire to build a wall between the United States and Canada are similar to Trump's opinions against Mexican and Muslim immigration including building a wall on the Mexican border. Garrison's slogan "Where My Country Gone?" and baseball cap parodies Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan and ubiquitous baseball cap. The "President of Canada" who appears at the end of the episode is also a caricature of Trump.
- GoofsCanada has a prime minister, not a president.
