Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • This is a graphical remake of the original Combat Evolved, the game contains the same levels of violence as the original. You can switch between both new and old graphics.
  • Nothing graphic as most of the game involves shooting aliens, flying robots and zombie aliens. However the original game contains lots of blood spraying from enemies including from the marines. This is what makes this Halo game the bloodiest and goriest of halo games, however considering the fact the game has aged the human blood looks incredibly fake and pink. The blood is toned down in the remaster however you can switch between both graphics.
  • Most of the alien blood is blue, purple and yellow.

Profanity

  • Characters say bastard, asshole, bitch and shit throughout. However it's extremely infrequent.
  • Some uses of 'mother'.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The original Halo game is rated a 12 by the BBFC, but this one isn't. The reason behind this is that this is a remaster and graphics are highly improved and the updated graphics make the blood look more real and the flood more frightening than the original did. For this it gets a 16 rating.
  • Some fans argue this should keep that this is the only Halo game that should keep the M rating, due to the updated graphics and the level of blood in the original when you flip back to the old graphics.
