Shot on a budget of roughly 35-40K.
Because the film was shot in reverse order, and the make-up person who was supposed to work on the production dropped out the day before and could not be replaced, the actors were sunburnt while shooting the outside scenes. This created a problem with their complexions which needed to be corrected in post production.
Paddy Lyster was attached for the film before the budget or the production company had been finalised. But casting the role of the Woman involved a day of auditioning.
The location originally planned (and confirmed) for the shoot was cancelled the day before the shoot due to a mix-up regarding the costs for it. The location actually used was a small church in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, and which turned out to be much more suitable to the story and the background of the priest.
