To All a Goodnight: Interview with Katherine Herrington (2014)
*** (out of 4)
Good interview with Katherine Herrington as she talks about her work on TO ALL A GOODNIGHT, the 1980 slasher from David Hess. She starts off talking about how she ended up in the film and her first impressions of the screenplay. From here she talks about the various "problems" she had with the film, which included the editing and some of the stuff that she was asked to do. She even tells us a story about the house they shot in and why there weren't any spiders. Overall, this here is a pretty good interview, although I'm sure some people are going to watch it and come away hating the actress. She talks about how excited Hess was to be directing for the first time and then we get about three straight stories of her talking about how she refused to do what he asked her. Apparently there was a scene where a gun was supposed to be thrown at her face, which she objected to and then she refused to spit out blood for a scene. I guess we can praise her honesty but I'd say some are going to be calling her a snob.
