The Fix Is On

Warning: Spoilers
Harry finds himself assisting a jerk who is obviously trying to pin the murder on a known crime figure. Bosch realizes that a gun found in a toilet tank (one of the oldest tricks in the book) was planted. Everything is so neat. When certain witnesses are brought in, Eleanor is among them. She has been playing poker with these guys and has borrowed money from one of them. Meanwhile George continues to work at extortion. O'Shea is announcing for mayor and Irving is there with him. But O'Shea's adversary is no shrinking violet. There are desperate times Eleanor's home. It is obvious that while not financially in debt, she has been able to keep going from the generosity of big time crooks. Maddie is in the middle, The Feds come in and thank Bosch for solving the case. He goes to Mrs. Allen's to announce the "good" news (which he does not believe for a minute). He is aware he is probably being played. This is a much more subtle episode.

A bit meh

My overall rating of "Bosch"'s Season 2: 5/10

While this episode is not without its good sides (good acting and generally good plot development), it has quite a few bad ones: from the story being somewhat meandering in trying to conjure up a twist when no threads are really dangling, through too melodramatic elements and scenes with unbelievable and motiveless decisions by some characters, to what seems like a rather positive portrayal of unethical behaviour from both Bosh and his Las Vegas counterparts (now I'm not saying that the police absolutely has to be portrayed as paragons of morality, and in Season 1 we've had our fair share of portrayals of police brutality and what in Russian is known as "krugovaya poruka" in the organisation, but this episode just has a rather bizarre portrayal of this all). Still, not a bad episode.
