It is just three feet
nogodnomasters5 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Ben (Philip Saad) actually makes a living as a writer of short stories and poems. He suffers from acute agoraphobia, that even stepping three feet outside of his apartment to get groceries is a complete impossibility. He has a girlfriend Victoria (Diana C. Salinas) who visits from time to time and a sore on his arm which he tried to surgically remove himself.

The film then moves into a science fiction horror that I will only say reminded me of "Liquid Sky." The production would have been better off a short feature. It took a long time to develop while never letting us know much about the characters. Once it was into the swing of things, it was filmed mostly in the dark, with some scenes being totally black. Again it stayed at this point far too long without the plot moving linear. The ending was messed up. Clearly this seemed to be the ending the script writers had in mind, I just didn't find it entertaining.

"Addicted to Love" would have made for a better sound track choice than the hip-hop Amaru composed for the film that seemed out of place.

Guide: F-word. Implied sex. Brief nudity.

Character drama masquerades as horror
Leofwine_draca20 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
INSIDE BEN is another dull indie character drama masquerading as a horror film. The tale is about a guy suffering from agoraphobia, which means he hangs out in his apartment a lot with a female companion while the viewer snoozes. Yep, it's a film every bit as boring as it sounds, and although there's a big twist two thirds of the way in, it's not enough to make this remotely good.

You must be high...

You must be high is not just a quote from the trailer but a requirement to watch this film.

Inside Ben starts off slow but quickly ramps up in the third act.

You'll never be able to guess where this movie is going with it's m night shyamalan twists. At the end you'll be asking your self what just happened. And then you'll question everything you know about life.

10/10 i go to sleep with this on.
