Javier Esposito : [handing Castle an earpiece] Put this deep in your ear, all right? All the way in.
[back to present]
Richard Castle : The truth is... I lured you here. To watch you die. Are we clear?
Jerry Tyson : Clear about what?
Richard Castle : Then take the shot.

[Beckett returns to the precinct safe and sound]
Captain Victoria Gates : That was the stupidest, most reckless, irresponsible stunt you've ever pulled, Mr. Castle... Thank you.
[she offers him a handshake; laughing, he accepts and gives her a big hug]
Captain Victoria Gates : Okay, all right. All right, all right.
[chuckles]
Captain Victoria Gates : Okay! There is still the matter of the assault charges.
Kate Beckett : Assault charges?
Richard Castle : Uh, it's a- it's a long story. But, C-Captain, you can't be serious.
Captain Victoria Gates : Serial killer or no, you threatened an unarmed man with a gun. The D.A. takes that very seriously. But... in light of your outstanding work on this case, he's willing to drop the charges *if* you agree to a thousand hours of community services.
Richard Castle : *A thousand hours*?
Captain Victoria Gates : Yes... As a consultant to Detective Beckett and the 12th Precinct.
Richard Castle : Uh, um, I'm... I'm being unbanned?
Captain Victoria Gates : Mr. Castle, welcome back.

[Castle bangs on the cage wall to alert Gates, Ryan, and Esposito and points to his phone]
Richard Castle : Tyson.
Captain Victoria Gates : Trace. Go.
Kevin Ryan : Yeah.
Jerry Tyson : You know the part I liked best? The pain in your eyes. The suffering. And all that fear knowing that I have her.
Richard Castle : Well, if this is about me, then take me. Take me and let her go.
