CBS is singing a happy tune today, as its Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday was the most-watched since 1998. As a result, the network easily topped the night in both the key demo and in total viewers — more than doubling its closest competitor by both metrics. NBC experienced some rough drops from “A.D.” (down 35 percent from last week) and “American Odyssey” (down 25 percent). CBS was first in ratings with a 3.0 rating/9 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 14.6 million, according to preliminary numbers.
