The show opens with the Rock driving a hearse down to ringside and announcing that he is going to hold a funeral for Steve Austin later tonight. The first match is the Road Dogg versus Owen Hart. The Brood take on the Acolytes. The Godfather defends the Intercontinental Championship against Bob Holly. The Big Bossman faces Ken Shamrock. Triple H takes on Mankind. Billy Gunn takes on Jeff Jarrett. The Big Show takes on Viscera. Michael Cole interviews Vince and Stephanie McMahon. Val Venis is supposed to have a match, but he is interrupted by Sable, who announces that she is going to pose for Playboy a second time, but SHE is interrupted by Ivory, who comes out and attacks her. The show ends with the Rock delivering a "eulogy" for Steve Austin, until the (not dead) Steve Austin shows up driving a monster truck.
