Fun Episode that Took Me back to Classic Episodes,
lesleyharris3019 December 2014
Covercraft is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of funny scenes. This episode really took me back to older Simpsons episodes,at around the fourth to sixth season,as the humour and story was very similar to the way they did it in the early nineties,I really enjoyed this and they also make a subtle hint to the classic season 5 episode Homers Barbershop Quartet,I won't say how but keep your eyes peeled.I loved Apu's role in this episode, there hasn't been one where he played an important role in a long time, and I was very happy he did as he is without a doubt one of my favourite Simpsons characters, and his signing voice had me in stitches.Covercraft is a very enjoyable Simpsons episode.

Homer decides to form a cover band with some of the dads in town.Tensions bowl, however, when Apu is singled out as a superstar.

Hoping for a dream.
Sleepin_Dragon28 January 2021
Hoping for an episode as good as the previous one, Covercraft sees Homer art up a band, headed by frontman Apu, the band focus on covers, rehashes, that's kind of how I feel about this episode.

It's not bad by any means, it just has all been done before, there isn't a single new joke or idea here, it has literally all been done before.

I didn't find it particularly funny, it's one of those that'll be hard to remember. 5/10

DO NOT BUY COVERCRAFT IF YOU LIKE CUSTOMER SERVICE
tomsibleyjr8 March 2022
I recently purchased a second set of seat covers from covercraft for my other vehicle. The first said I got was right before Christmas for my wife's 2017 SUV. Since we decided to trade that in and of course it took months for the trade-in to come in I held off on putting the covers on the old car. When the car finally came in we tempted to put the covers on and of course the covers did not fit the new vehicle. I called covercraft and explained the situation and also offered to pay any difference for custom seat covers for this vehicle. They were in sheepskin. Not only did they refuse to do anything about it or work with me they also we're not concerned about the fact that I was a customer who had already ordered a second set. Their claim was it wasn't returned within 30 days. That won't be a problem since my second set is still within the 30 days that I will be returning them. While their products may be decent their customer service is absolutely awful. If you want to take a chance and go with them good luck. I will never do it again!

The episode plays forward and works well.

Homer starts a cover band with Lovejoy, Apu, Milhouse's dad and Dr.Hibbert. But soon the eighties band Sungazer takes Apu a tour tour, which Homer is upset about.

I liked a lot of the characters chemistry in this one. Homer band's chemistry is strong, and they seem to really be friends. Even after Apu is associated with Sungazer, the episode plays forward and works well.

Sungazer's characters are amusing and this has funny jokes. I liked Homer and the rest of the band and the ending was a surprising and fun, with Homer and Apu poisoning the Sungazer members with the Kwik E Mart sausages.

Barber Shop Quartet Re-Hashed
Gerardrobertson6124 March 2020
This was re-hashing an old episode into something different, instead of a barber shop quatret, this time it was a rock band. Looks like the writers are running out of ideas.

Prepare for 20 minutes of cringe!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I feel like I'M going through a mid-life crisis watching this show.

They try to explain Apu's singing voice with a backstory, but my god is that lame. It just doesn't fit at all. We've heard Apu since before ("who needs the Kwik-e-Mart?"), so why try to pretend he now has a different singing voice? I'll admit there was potential at the start when Homer bought the bass guitar (and the music shop sequence brought a smile to my face), but it quickly fell flat.

My god this show has gone downhill...
