After reading the other 2 reviews i went into interested to see what happened to my beloved dane cook. I adore him! He is my favorite comedian and i quote his comedy almost daily. This was not as good as his other stuff to be sure but it really isnt that bad. I still laughed and enjoyed his charisma but yes his energy is a little weaker, hey the man isnt 20 anymore. If you love dane watch it. There are some really bad comedians out there but imo dane isnt one of them.

Almost two years after it came out and no one has even bothered to write a review -- that probably says more about this special than any negative review ever could. No rabid fans even.
His website hasn't been updated in over two years either. So maybe it's finally safe to say that we, as a culture, have persevered and overcome those dark, dark years and we're now all safe from the comic musings of Mr. Dane Cook.
Someday we can all sit around and reminisce about that moment when we suddenly realized, "He's just not all that funny."
Like any stand-up, this had some good bits in it. Sure. Talking to any random guy for 88 minutes will probably also result in some funny moments. I imagine if you talked to the guy who hangs out at the convenience store bumming cigarettes for 88 minutes you'd get a few chuckles.
Good lookin' guy, nice voice, well-spoken...just not really funny.

Sad because you can tell he is depressed about his folks passing just 3 years prior. his brother screwed up and stole from him and is incarcerated.
for the preforming part it was bad, man almost cringe worthy when he stated for the first 5 mins that "were going to have a blast" etc I urge you to view some of Cooks older material and consider the difference. yes he's 46 now, and then 42 when the taping was done. family, relationships, bad breakups lead the way to his dark dark cynical material. during his 2006 era acts: this just does not add up. material is more focused on harsh truths and ugly human behaviour traits. in his hay day say 2004 0r 2006, he'd jump, sing, laugh, and articulate his comedy so excellent and again I would never have invisioned Dane becoming this bad.
