Narcisse says that his second wife had hemophilia. There are two goofs there. The first was that was not recognized and named until centuries later. The second is that there have only been several women in history who have had hemophilia. It is carried on the x chromosome and since women have two they are mainly carriers of hemophilia and not sufferers themselves. All women known to be sufferers of hemophilia died at the beginning of puberty and begging their periods.
