The show opens with Commissioner Shawn Michaels coming to the ring and bringing out the main eventers of WrestleMania, Steve Austin and Mankind. But Vince McMahon and the Rock goad Michaels into making a match between Mankind and the Rock for tonight. The first match is Jeff Jarrett and Debra versus D-Lo Brown and Ivory. Triple H and X-Pac cut a promo on Shane McMahon. Val Venis defends the Intercontinental Championship against Billy Gunn. The Undertaker cuts a promo on Vince McMahon. Shane McMahon and Kane face Triple H and X-Pac. Bob Holly defends the Hardcore Championship against Steve Blackman. Big Bossman, Test and Ken Shamrock face the Acolytes and Mideon. The main event is Mankind defending the WWF Championship against the Rock in a ladder match.
