What's the motivation behind a pub landlord who kills his barman? Eden tells the almost whimsical tale of murder, and blackmail. Plenty of questions asked here, who is it that's blackmailing the rather cool killer. The murder is almost second fiddle here, it doesn't seem like the only thing happening here, as important is the presence of Englishman Kenneth Potter on the Emerald Isle.
Entertaining, not heavy, this series deserved a commercial release.
I particularly enjoyed the scene where Kenneth Potter clashed with The Catholic Priest, there are differences in religious beliefs in mainland Britain in Ireland now, these differences were huge in years gone by. Peter Firth is great in the scene.
A good start, 7/10.
