Just bad

They could've made something better with the story but nope. It's just bad. I kept fast forwarding in hopes that it'd get better. It went just downhill from beginning to end. The acting though was bad, well, for some of them. I won't name names.

Wow.

Hell's Heart was the second movie I saw at the Beloit International Film Festival in Beloit, Wisconsin and I'm extremely happy I did.

I had no idea what to expect with this movie. The trailer made it out to be a demon possession/exorcism movie that would have a few twists and turns. It's easy to say that that's not quite what I got.

The cast was terrific, but the main high point was from the main actor Michael Kirby. Every scene he was in blew me away and his performance is definitely one worthy of nominations and awards. Everyone felt believable and natural in their roles and nothing really felt forced.

The movie was shot very well and have a very beautiful look to it. Every shot seemed to have purpose to it and I loved that.

The score was very reminiscent of old school 80s horror films and it worked all the better for it. I've listened to it a few times since I watched the movie and it only gets better.

I don't want to say too much about the plot because this a movie that works much better if you know very little to nothing about it. It's not what you would expect and felt very original, which is refreshing to see. I hope this gets a wide release so everyone can enjoy it as much as I did.

9/10.
