The three founding members of Bananarama spent many cruel summers apart since Sibohan Fahey left the group in 1988. But after almost 30 years, the ladies have reunited to hit the road together for the first time.
“It just seemed like such a tragedy that we hadn’t done it when we shared sort of the prime years,” Keren Woodward tells People of never getting to tour with Fahey. “This is just a proper celebration of that period.”
Woodward, 56, and fellow Bananarama cofounder Sara Dallin went on to release numerous albums and tour together, joined by Jacquie O’Sullivan from 1988–91. Meanwhile, Fahey...

Ever wonder why the credits at the top of a movie poster don’t line up with the people they’re announcing? You might look at a poster or a movie case and see the names that run across the top and notice that they’re not in order at all. As in, the person standing under the name is someone completely different. Well Hollywood doesn’t do this on accident, it’s entirely on purpose, and it’s called Top Billing. One thing you need to remember about Hollywood is that it’s all about money, influence, and how a person can maintain the acquisition of

2017-08-25T06:44:11-07:00Taylor Swift Promotes ABC Line Up
Taylor Swift has a new album and a love of ABC's Thursday-night dramas. Sounds like a perfect marketing storm to us.
Via The Hollywood Reporter.
ABC has turned to Taylor Swift to help promote the return of its Tgit-branded lineup of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder.
Timed with the release of Swift's new single "Look What You Made Me Do," the network on Thursday night rolled out the 30-second promo set to the catchy tune.
Swift is a noted Grey's Anatomy superfan — one of her cats is named Meredith, after star Ellen Pompeo's character on the Shonda Rhimes medical drama. The new Tgit promo is not Swift's first role in Shondaland — Grey's Anatomy featured Swift's "White Horse" in the season five premiere. What's more, Pompeo was among the cameos in Swift's "Bad Blood" video.

While prestigious films make their debut at Cannes, in the basement of the Palais, the marketplace is where new projects are being announced and shopped around. It’s hard to keep to keep up with all of them, but here are some of the latest highlights:
While it’s not the six-film action pantomimes franchise we were hoping for, you do want to see a movie about the world’s greatest mime, right? Well, Jesse Eisenberg will play the legendary French mime Marcel Marceau in the film, “Resistance,” centering on the artist’s involvement in the resistance in the WWII.

“Just a reminder that he will not discuss any character or plot info about the new Twin Peaks.”
The above heads-up was delivered to me last month from a Showtime rep ahead of my one-on-one phone interview with Twin Peaks co-creator David Lynch, and it hardly came as a surprise. The famously tight-lipped auteur has been shrouding his 18-hour Twin Peaks revival (premiering Sunday at 9/8c) in the kind of secrecy that would prompt a “Chill out, dude!” from even Matt Weiner. So what’s a spoiler hound — and self-described Twin Peaks junkie — like myself to do? Line up a bevy of vague softballs,...

It might be overshadowed a bit by other NYC festivals like the New York Film Festival and Tribeca, but the BAMcinemaFest, which takes place in June, has consistently been pulling off some pretty great line-ups, and this year’s batch, which was announced yesterday, looks to be no exception.
As is often the case, the BAMcinématek has gathered together some of the best movies from the festival circuit in the first half of the year, plus a few world premieres (including “En el Séptimo Día” from “Breaking Bad” and “Mr.

The Cannes Film Festival has been more secretive than usual this year, with Thierry Fremaux and co. deciding not to announce the opening film in advance, as is usually tradition. Instead, the full lineup has just dropped all at once, and it looks like a very strong year.
