Sex & Nudity

  • No actual sex, there are a couple of make-out scenes with a guy and his girlfriend. In one scene he is shirtless.
  • A woman implies she's about to have sex to pay a guy for wronging him. They go into another room and start discussing it.

Violence & Gore

  • There's a lot of danger surrounding drug deals. We see a guy getting roughed up by a group of angry dealers and guns fired when a deal goes wrong.

Profanity

  • The profanity isn't constant, but it is strong and generally centered around the stress with drugs. The F-word is used a lot.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The film is all about the opioid crisis and chronicles a teen's growing addiction to his late mother's medications, as well as his deeply addicted neighbor and her struggle with drug deals. We see people high several times throughout the film and sometimes hallucinating.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is heavy and shows a teen grieving for his mother before the drug issues are covered. His grief is what leads him to addiction.
  • More than once addicts are shown under duress from the need for drugs, or in fear for their lives. The film isn't hopeless, but it is honest and grim in its portrayal of addictions and how people develop them.
