In 2012 L.B. Hyams directed and completed a rough draft of the movie that was originally entitled "DIARY OF A CANNIBAL" when he was only 19 years old to attempt to get funding for a bigger version of the film. The films cast consisted of the director himself L.B. Hyams and his father as the character of Simon. That version had been shown to investors and production companies and was able to finally collect a small budget of around $10,000 over the course of 3 years. In February of 2015 Pre-Production for the now current version began. During Pre-Production L.B. Hyams' company was able to gather a small crew of talented and essential cast and crew to bring his vision to fruition. The cast and crew were carefully selected by L.B. Hyams himself.
