Where Is Kelly?
claudio_carvalho14 January 2019
Fet drives the truck to Eph´s house and he arrives on time to save Zach from Matt. His colleagues head to Setrakian´s shop with Zach while Eph and Nora seek out Kelly in the house. Meanwhile Gus and Felix are in jail and Felix is very ill. While they are moving to a hospital, Felix turns into a vampire and Gus is forced to kill him. While in the pawnshop, Dutch discloses to Setrakian that she and her crew were the responsible for the communication problem.

"The Disappeared" is another average episode of "The Strain". Eph has to kill and destroy Matt´s body and certainly he will not feel bad to thus action. The greatest question of this episode is where Kelly is and whether she has or not turned into a vampire. My vote is seven.

More Abraham flashblacks and Eph finding his son
Brettyboy00720 September 2014
This episode of The Strain was good. It revealed a big game changer. Eph's wife is missing. The episode starts off with Zach returning home and finding Matt...as a vampire. Luckily Eph shows up and saves Zach. After this, a lot of episode is back and forth about what to do next. It looks like Abraham's pawnshop is a safe house for the characters.

Abraham's flashbacks are pretty well done. These seemed to feature more of Eichorst. The ending was perfect. We finally got to see The Master's face. It is not disappointing at all. He looks very creepy and really seems to embrace The Master persona.

Also, I'm really close to finishing the first book, and they haven't got to where I'm at. Very anxious to see where they'll be headed this last few episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
When they were trapped in a gas station store, Jim got infected and the pest control guy had to shoot him. The British hacker girl joined them after finding out her flat mate stole her belongings. Eph's son also joined them in their pawn shop basement team but his mom is missing and her boyfriend got killed by Eph because he was turned too. Felix became a vampire in the inmate transportation and Gus got away after shooting him.

Pretty Decent [8/10]

Reaction / Review for The Strain Season 1 Episode 9: Episode 8 was amazing and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Setrakian says they need to prepare for the next battle, I wonder what kind of battle will that be. Having a kid being part of the team could be very risky. Sad to see Felix turned into a vampire. This episode is slower than the previous episodes but still good. The Master's face looks a bit goofy but still cool lol. I love that in this episode we get to see Eichorst's origin story. Ok overall this episode felt a little bit like a filler episode, but still it was very decent and I enjoyed it. My rating is 8/10.

Season 3? How did it make it to season 2?
tebot3 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
While watching this episode I started wondering what happened to the story that started out so well at the beginning of the series. The Strain has now become one of those shows where one screams at the television (not me personally) that how can someone this stupid still be alive. Eph has seen so much so far, but he still refuses to believe Abraham when he tells him what needs to be done. When Nora screams at Vasiliy that they were to be the one to kill Jim I thought, yeah you had your chance but blew it. In the real world, hesitation gets you killed. In Hollywood it just gets you drama. This show should not have made it to season 2 let alone season 3. It should go the route of Fear The Walking Dead due to crappy writing. Smart people live. Stupid people die.
