After years of rumors and speculation, Liam Neeson’s Naked Gun reboot looks like it is finally heading into production. Set to be directed by The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer, and written by Dan Gregor and Doug Man, fans expect a lot from this reboot. While many have tried (and failed) to update the franchise, and it’s hard to imagine anyone stepping into Leslie Nielsen’s iconic shoes at Lt. Frank Drebin, it’s pretty interesting that the team pairing on this is the same one that teamed on Disney’s much better than expected reboot of Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers. All involved are really funny, so if anyone could make this work, it’s them. With a release date tentatively set for July 18th, 2025, here’s everything we know about the Naked Gun reboot.

Pamela Anderson and Paul Walter Hauser are also on the call sheet for the feature that will begin shooting later this month.

It's a busy old time for Paul Walter Hauser – with good reason, since he's been putting in excellent, memorable and award-winning performances in a variety of films and shows. He's now attached to another big title, joining Liam Neeson in the cast of Paramount's new spin on The Naked Gun.
The 1988 original saw David Zucker, brother Jerry, Jim Abrahams and co-writer Pat Proft turn their short-lived comedy series Police Squad! into a movie. It was an instant comedy hit, Leslie Nielsen's iconic central performance cementing his transformation from dramatic actor to comedy legend as Detective Frank Drebin.
Two sequels followed to diminishing returns (though there are still good gags to be enjoyed in both), but we started to hear rumours of a remake in development years ago. That went through a few versions — Ed Helms was attached to star for while — and more recently, Seth MacFarlane has been involved,...

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are leading the cast of the brand new The Naked Gun movie, that’s arriving in 2025. More here.
Filming is getting underway imminently on the long, long in gestation new take on The Naked Gun. It’s been through several iterations this, as we charted here, but Paramount is now pressing ahead, with a summer 2025 release planned.

Now? Well, the headline of the article has taken all the suspense out of this. Still, Pamela Anderson has joined the ensemble, in a thus-far unnamed role. It’s fairly safe to assume she’s taking a female lead role in the movie, going where the...

Pamela Anderson is dressing up for Naked Gun.
The actor has signed on to star opposite Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’ untitled remake of Naked Gun, based on the crime spoof comedies that were released in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Anatomy of a Fall actress Sandra Hüller could be making a roast for Akiva Schaffer’s The Naked Gun reboot, so how hot and wet do you like it? A report from industry insider Daniel Richtman says Sandra Hüller is in talks to play the romantic lead in the forthcoming comedy, starring Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Leslie Nielsen’s Lt. Frank Drebin from the Police Squad series and Naked Gun film trilogy.
In the Naked Gun trilogy, Lt. Frank Drebin falls in love with Jane Spencer (Lisa Marie Presley), an assistant for industrialist Vincent Ludwig, utterly unaware of his villainy. After a slapstick-ridden meet-cute, Frank and Jane form a heated courtship accompanied by steamy home-cooked meals, ultra-protected sex, and trips to the baseball field.
How Liam Neeson and Hüller’s characters cross paths in the Naked Gun reboot remains a mystery. We must also wait...

Even an Academy Awards telecast as satisfying as the 96th Oscars has some disappointing moments. From missed speeches to missed opportunities to capitalize on its presenters and a misguided attempt to honor those we’ve lost, here are four of the misfires from the Sunday, Mar. 10 telecast.
Wes Anderson misses his first Oscar win
Yes, many folks were displeased about someone of Wes Anderson’s stature crashing the Best Live Action Short category, but the majority of Oscar voters deemed “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” the best of this year’s nominees. The acclaimed director has seven prior nominations for features “The Royal Tenenbaums,” “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” “Moonrise Kingdom,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Isle of Dogs” but had surprisingly never taken home a trophy, so it would have been joyous to see him ascend the Oscar stage, statuette in hand, and deliver a trademark idiosyncratic acceptance speech.

It was announced all the way back in 2022 that Paramount was going to be remaking "Naked Gun" with Liam Neeson as the star. There was little movement on the project in terms of additional cast members or a projected release window throughout all of 2023, leading many to believe the film had been scrapped or entered a new circle of Hollywood production hell. While many view the "Naked Gun" films as sacred comedy texts that dare not be remade, it's happening, and there's a pretty incredible team behind it. The "Naked Gun" films famously changed the trajectory of star Leslie Nielsen's career, so perhaps the new film could do the same for the gruff, action antics of Neeson. We're still quite a ways away from the release of the film, so here's everything you need to know about the upcoming remake.

Now, it seems that Liam Neeson is to play the son of Nielsen’s Lieutenant Frank Drebin in whatever the new The Naked Gun movie ends up being called.

Liam Neeson is going to try out a different particular set of skills. The “Taken” star will take a pratfall into slapstick comedy in an upcoming reboot of “The Naked Gun,” the supremely silly parody franchise about cops. On Wednesday, Paramount set a July 18, 2025 release date for the movie, Variety reports.
The film, which is currently untitled, will be directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer, Emmy-winning director of “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” and member of the musical comedy group The Lonely Island. Schaffer wrote the script with “Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers” writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”) and Erica Huggins (“Ted”) are producing through their company Fuzzy Door.
“The Naked Gun” franchise was created by the comedy team of David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker with the 1982 TV series “Police Squad!”, which starred Leslie Nielsen as a dimwitted detective named Frank Drebin.

Paramount is polishing its crystal ball today and looking ahead at some of the films from the studio in the next few years. At least, that’s how it feels when Paramount earnings day comes along. The studio announced a 0.6% increase in stock today, with various release date announcements to whet investor’s whistles. Among the titles mentioned during today’s report, Paramount put dates on projects like Liam Neeson’s Naked Gun reboot, a sequel to 2023’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and more.

Akiva Schaffer directs, and executive produces the Naked Gun reboot, with Dan Gregor and Doug Man writing the script draft alongside Schaffer. One of the reasons this is exciting is that the trio partnered for the way-better-than-anticipated Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers film.

Paramount Pictures has set a release date for its much-delayed The Naked Gun reboot, which will now land in theaters on July 15th, 2025, per Variety.
Starring Liam Neeson, the currently untitled remake will be directed and executive produced by The Lonely Island’s Avika Schaffer, who co-wrote the script with the writing duo of Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing the film through their company Fuzzy Door. Not much else is known about the project at this time.
“It’ll either finish my career or bring it in another direction,” Neeson previously joked to People (The TV Show) about the role. “I honestly don’t know.”
Born out of the short-lived 1982 crime spoof series Police Squad!, The Naked Gun franchise originally centered around the late Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling police sergeant Frank Drebin. It began in 1988 with the first film, From the Files of Police Squad!

Did you forget that there's a reboot of the parody franchise "The Naked Gun" in the works at Paramount Pictures? Not only is the project still happening, but Paramount Pictures has announced an official release date for the comedy revamp: July 15, 2025. That means cameras should be rolling this year if they haven't already started production without us knowing.
"The Naked Gun" followed Leslie Nielsen as bumbling Los Angeles detective Frank Drebin as he encountered various plots of crime and intrigue, often getting into outlandish, slapstick situations. Based on the short-lived spoof series "The Police Squad!" that aired on ABC in 1982, the film series was infinitely more successful, resulting in two sequels that became solid box office hits. With all the nostalgia there is for rebooting previously successful titles, it was only a matter of time before Paramount circled back around to "The Naked Gun."

A Naked Gun reboot that’s long been teased finally has a release date. The cop comedy will star Liam Neeson, though it’s not clear if he’ll play Frank Drebin himself or a new character connected to the wacky detective made famous by the late comedy legend Leslie Nielsen. The Naked Gun reboot will come out in theaters on July 15, 2025, Paramount announced Wednesday, February 28 (per Variety). The so-far untitled film will be directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer. Schaffer co-wrote the draft script with Dan Gregor and Doug Man, the writing team behind the live-action and animation hybrid Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins produce through their production house Fuzzy Door. The Naked Gun came out in 1988 and tracked Nielsen as Frank Drebin, an incompetent police detective who must foil a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II by turning innocent people into assassins through mind control.

A long-gestating reboot of the “Naked Gun” franchise with Liam Neeson is finally moving forward at Paramount, landing a release date of July 18, 2025.
The currently untitled project will be directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer, who co-wrote the draft script alongside Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, reprising their partnership from the Emmy-winning film “Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers.” Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing via their company Fuzzy Door. The new movie is based off the widely popular “Naked Gun” franchise and television series “Police Squad!” by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker.
Meanwhile, two successful animated franchises’ next films have also been added to Paramount’s release schedule. “Paw Patrol 3,” a Spin Master Entertainment production in association with Nickelodeon Movies, is slated for July 31, 2026 with distribution from Paramount Pictures. I love cartoons. Specifically cartoon series from the 80’s and 90’s. Whenever someone asks me what my favorite childhood cartoon is, I always say there are two. The first is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the second is Darkwing Duck. I was the biggest fan of the masked mallard, and who wouldn’t be? He was brave, smart, egotistical, and accident-prone but would persevere against evil. He had a killer costume and cool equipment to fight bad guys. He had an awesome rogue’s gallery that was a bit of a joke but also surprisingly formidable. The cartoon was also not afraid to show its love for classic superhero comics at a time when the general public didn’t understand it. It even broke through the Iron Curtain at the height of the Cold War. But does this cartoon from the early 90’s still hold up? Is it a silly...

During the final “Last Week Tonight” episode of the year, John Oliver devoted an entire 30-minute segment to rehashing the past 12 months in the life of Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of X (formerly known as Twitter).
Musk has had a particularly fraught 2023, which started with the removal of verified status from legacy blue-check holders and ended with him telling advertisers, who began to pull their spending from X when Musk endorsed an antisemitic conspiracy theory, to “go fuck yourself.”
Oliver began his roast by calling Musk “a man who can pull off pretty much any bad-guy-in-a-movie look.” As different images of Musk flashed by on the screen, Oliver threw out some comparisons.
“There’s Lex Luthor, posing for the cover of Metropolis Maniacs Monthly. There’s ‘Why no Mr. Bond, I and my child bride expect you to die,'” Oliver said in reference to a photo of Musk and his former partner,...

John Oliver did a deep dive into Elon Musk on Sunday’s Last Week Tonight, and came up with a slew of insults to lob at the billionaire tech mogul.
“This is our final show of the year, so we thought we’d focus on someone who’s had a pretty big 12 months,” the HBO late night show host said.
He called Musk — owner of six companies, including SpaceX, Tesla, X (formerly Twitter), The Boring Company, Neuralink and xAI — “a man who can pull off pretty much any bad guy in a movie.”
Showing various photos of Musk giving different looks and wearing various outfits, Oliver went down his list of “bad guys” that he says Musk resembles: “There’s Lex Luthor posing for the cover of Metropolis Maniacs Monthly. John Oliver decided to focus on Elon Musk on Last Week Tonight‘s last new episode of 2023. The comedian roasted the billionaire by recounting all the controversies he’s been involved in this past year and said he “could pull off any bad guy in a movie.”

He continued, “And finally, the less fuckable reimagining of Billy Zane’s character in Titanic. Truly, the man has range.”

Just like Ewan McGregor yesterday, Dr. Who alum David Tennant was very tight-lipped onstage at New York Comic-Con about anything having to do with struck work due to restrictions imposed by the ongoing actors strike. The Scottish actor was making an appearance to talk up his career to fans; a tall feat nowadays for many thespians.
When one fan screamed “Scrooge McDuck,” Tennant’s character from the 2022 Disney+ movie, Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, he responded, “We’re not talking about Scrooge McDuck! Come on SAG!”
“Thank, God, for all that they do,” the actor added about his union and their continuing walkout.

This Halloween season, Bloody Disgusting and Screambox are bringing Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls to theaters, a gateway horror film that wears its ’80s/’90s influences on its sleeves. Those influences extend to music, and we’ve got a treat for you this afternoon with a brand new clip channeling Meatloaf’s hit song “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)”… in the form of a hilarious dream sequence from the film.
Based on writer, director, and star Andrew Bowser’s viral internet character of the same name, Onyx tells the story of an amateur occultist who learns that sometimes, when you raise Hell…you get a little burned.
In the new clip, Onyx (Bowser) finds himself grappling with what he’d do for love as he recreates Meatloaf’s famous music video and finds temptation in the form of a “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” character.

This year, for the first time since 2018, multiple Best TV Movie Emmy nominees have also earned recognition for their writing or directing, seemingly indicating a return to form for the time-honored program format. The current race for the main telefilm prize is also one of the most compelling in recent memory, as every one of the five contenders has a unique set of advantages that could put it over the top.
After winning the Critics Choice and PGA Awards for Best TV Movie earlier this year, “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” is the natural frontrunner in the corresponding Emmy contest. The vast majority of Gold Derby’s participating users concur, but they also erroneously expected last year’s award to go to “The Survivor” rather than “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.” With that in mind, it’s important to pay attention to what makes “Weird” vulnerable against its challengers and...

Scroll through our photo gallery to see our official 2023 Emmy predictions for Best TV Movie. Disney+ has a chance to achieve a second consecutive Best TV Movie victory for “Hocus Pocus 2” after its “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” won last year’s race. It is now involved in a rematch with the Roku Channel and faces its first challenges from Hulu and NBC.
Roku’s current bid for “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” serves as a follow-up to its first in this category for “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas” (2022). “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” is the 49th NBC movie ever nominated here and the first since “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love” (2017). Another film starring and produced by Dolly Parton – Netflix’s “Christmas on the Square” – won this award in 2021.
Rounding out this lineup are “Fire Island” and “Prey,” which are the first Hulu movies to ever compete for this honor.

It’s a good thing that the Television Academy never scrapped the Television Movie Emmy category because original streaming movies stepped up in a major way this morning in the Primetime noms.
Streaming movies notched four of the five Outstanding Movie Primetime Emmy nomination slots including Disney+’s most watched movie ever Hocus Pocus 2, Disney’s Hulu movies Prey and Fire Island, as well as Roku’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. In recent years, there’s been chatter that the Television Academy was pondering a nix of the movie category, but they’ve held on to it, and obviously streamers are delivering product to it.
Even more amazing, streaming movies grabbed three out of the six writing noms in the limited-anthology series/movie slot: Prey, Fire Island (Joel Kim Booster) and Weird: Al the Yankovic Story (Weird Al and Eric Appel).

Three decades after they were first introduced in the short film “Frog Baseball” and almost a dozen years after the first revival of their eponymous MTV show concluded, cartoon characters Beavis and Butt-Head returned for a Paramount Plus reboot series in August 2022. Whether it will continue past its first two seasons has yet to be decided, but it certainly has been well-received, as was the 2022 TV movie “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.” At this point in the “Beavis and Butt-Head” franchise’s existence, no entry has ever attracted the attention of Emmy voters, but the time is right for that to change.
“Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” which dropped on Paramount Plus six weeks before the new series premiered, serves as a sequel to the 1996 theatrical film “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.” The plot revolves around the titular teenage dullards traveling through time and coming into contact with...

As anyone who grew up with the console knows, most Nes games based on movies or TV shows were…terrible. Licensed games would eventually improve, but some of the worst licensed Nes games are also often considered to be among the worst games ever made. Your memories of most of those titles have not betrayed you.
However, all of those terrible licensed games also shaped a dangerous and inaccurate narrative that suggested that every licensed Nes game was bad. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, some of the best Nes games based on movies and TV shows aren’t just better than the competition but honestly deserve to at least be mentioned when we’re talking about some of the Nes’ greatest experiences.

Though there were a surprising number of Nes games based on early TV shows, most of them…oh…how to put this?...

Just days after it premiered on May 29, 2023, “Reality” is now predicted to receive a top Emmy nomination for Best TV Movie. In the 82-minute telefilm, former two-time Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria” and “The White Lotus”) portrays Reality Winner, the American intelligence specialist who, in 2017 at the age of 25, was arrested for allegedly leaking a report about potential Russian interference in the 2016 election to the media.
“Reality” made its initial debut at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year to great fanfare. Just two weeks ago, Gold Derby’s odds did not predict “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” would receive an Emmy nomination for Best TV Movie. But now, NBC and Peacock’s warm-hearted holiday telefilm has jumped up to the fourth-place position to win the category, behind likely challengers “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” “Prey” and “Fire Island” (see chart below). Just how much farther will producer/actress Dolly Parton climb in our racetrack odds before the Emmy nominations are announced on July 12?

Seth Rogen Doesn’t Know If He’s Coming Back for ‘Kung Fu Panda 4:’ ‘I Honestly Have No Idea’ (Video)
Seth Rogen, who currently stars in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” has voiced many animated characters – everything from Bob in “Monsters vs. Aliens” to Pumbaa in the reimagined version of “The Lion King.” He even had a brief voice role in “Shrek the Third,” which was released the same year as his breakout film “Knocked Up” back in 2007. And while talking to Rogen about his role in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” as Donkey Kong, we had to ask about a couple of other animated projects in the works, including “Kung Fu Panda 4,” which he isn’t entirely sure about. You can watch the video above.
“I don’t know. I honestly have no idea,” Rogen said, when asked about whether or not he’s returning for the fourth “Kung Fu Panda” film, out next year. “I genuinely don’t know. I haven’t done it yet. Those are pretty low lifts for me.

Exclusive: Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation), Dennis Haysbert (Far from Heaven), Nicole Richie (Bless This Mess) and Josh Peck (How I Met Your Father) are among the newest additions to the indie comedy Summer Camp from writer-director Castille Landon (After franchise).
Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard and Eugene Levy will lead the ensemble, as previously announced, with Betsy Sodaro (Ghosts) and Tom Wright (Daisy Jones & The Six) rounding it out.
The film heading into production next month in North Carolina tells the story of Nora, Ginny and Mary, who have been best friends since childhood, spending their summers together inseparably at sleepaway camp. As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others, excitedly. Can Daniel Radcliffe earn an Emmy nomination for the comedy film “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story”? Or even win? The Roku film, a parody of music biopics, is an unconventional awards contender — after all, it satirizes a certain kind of awards bait movie project. But it could also be noteworthy by bringing awards attention to the underappreciated telefilm format.
As limited series and anthologies have taken precedence in the industry, TV movies have mostly been pushed aside at the Emmys. Consider that last year’s five nominees for Best TV Movie — “Ray Donovan: The Movie.” “Reno 911!: The Hunt for QAnon ,” “The Survivor,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas,” and ultimate winner “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” — had no other nominations in any other categories.
That’s a far cry from just a few years ago. Consider that just in 2013 “Behind the Candelabra” swept the Emmys with 11 wins including Best Miniseries or Movie.

Mark your calendars for September 18, as that’s when the 2023 Emmys will air on Fox, continuing the tradition of switching regularly between the Big Four networks. A master of ceremonies has yet to be named, so now’s the perfect time to predict who might be tapped to host by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Remember, someone will undoubtedly be chosen from within the Fox/Disney family, which means folks like Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers will not be options. Who should host the 2023 Emmys? Vote in our poll below.

Prior to that, in 2015, Andy Samberg of Fox’s own “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” emceed the ceremony. It’s a possibility that Samberg could be asked to return to the Emmy stage in 2023, particularly as he’s...

Last year, four out of the five nominees for the Best TV Movie Emmy had their only nomination in that one category including the eventual winner, “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.” The only nominee to get recognized in another category was “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas,” which scored a bid for Best Choreography for a Scripted Series. Hulu’s raunchy gay rom-com “Fire Island” will be looking to see if it can get into more than one category this year and there’s a solid chance it will nab multiple Emmy nominations.
A promising sign the film could get into the Best TV Movie category was its recent nomination at the Producer’s Guild of America Awards for Best Streamed or Televised Movie. There is much overlap between the voting memberships of the PGA and the TV academy, with two of last year’s guild nominees — “Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia” and “Oslo...

For all the good things the "Star Wars" franchise has given pop culture, for all its joy and creativity, it is also a franchise plagued by bullying and harassment. From Kelly Marie Tran and Jake Lloyd to John Boyega and Ahmed Best, fans have made life hell for people associated with the franchise.
Since his debut in "The Phantom Menace," Jar Jar Binks has always been the butt of every joke about "Star Wars," in parodies like "Robot Chicken" and a cameo that never was in the film "Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers." The backlash against the character was so bad it led actor Ahmed Best to contemplate suicide.
Thankfully, it seems Ahmed Best is coming back around on the franchise, and the audience is embracing him again, from his appearances at Star Wars Celebration to Best hosting the reality competition series "Jedi Temple Challenge," where he played a Jedi master named Kelleran Beq.

The origin story of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, the pioneering comedians whose 1978 film Up in Smoke has transcended cult status, is getting its own big screen treatment.
Todd Lieberman’s Hidden Pictures is partnering with Marin and Chong, Underground, and Five All in the Fifth Entertainment on a feature biopic about the comedy duo.
Cheech and Chong came to prominence in the ’70s and ’80s, becoming synonymous with stoner culture by riffing on and lifting up the counterculture of the time, from hippies to (of course) cannabis. Their combined output included successful stand-up shows, comedy albums, and low-budget feature films, including Up in Smoke, Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie (1980) and Nice Dreams (1981).
Kristian Mercado, who most recently made his feature debut with the 2023 South by Southwest entry If You Were Last, will direct from a screenplay by Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan.

This article contains mild spoilers for "Scream VI."
The premise of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin's and Tyler Gillett's "Scream VI" leans heavily into nostalgia. In addition to returning characters from the previous installments — Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere are back — "Scream VI" also centerpieces an in-film "Scream" museum wherein the characters can idly wander past glass boxes displaying artifacts and costumes used in previous movies. The murders of the past are now academic, relics to be considered, rather than trauma to be survived. It's a rare moment of introspection in a movie that seems tired of the series' trademark meta commentaries.
The "Scream" movies are whodunnit films, and the person — or people — in the series' trademark Ghostface mask are typically not revealed until a dramatic third-act twist. "Scream VI" is no different, using its first act to establish a spate of new characters that will fight to survive the inevitable knife attacks.

Sometimes, love takes time. At least, it looks like it does in the new Andy Samberg-Jean Smart rom-com "42.6 Years." In the film, Samberg plays a young man who agrees to be cryogenically frozen to save his life. He wakes up 42.6 years later and is physically unchanged - but he's all alone. So he seeks out his ex-girlfriend, who did continue to get older, played by Smart. The movie is in the works at Amazon Studios. The Hollywood Reporter first reported on the movie. Amazon Studios did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.
According to THR, Samberg came up with the idea and cowrote the film with Seth Reiss, a writer on "Late Night With Seth Meyers." Reiss also cowrote the script for 2022's "The Menu," which became a box office success as it blended horror with social commentary. Reiss received a...
