Hildy and Terry now investigate the death of Cindy Strauss who worked for Erich Blunt as the flight attendant on his private jet; they were also sleeping together. In a fit of pique, he'd fired her a few days before after she spilled wine on him but reinstated her on his lawyer's advice. The medical examiner has deemed her death a homicide - and determines she was also 2 months pregnant. Cindy was separated from her husband Mark and his pick-up truck was seen near her house the night before she was killed. Erich refuses his corporate lawyer's advice that he hire a good criminal attorney and instead makes himself available to the police for questioning, all the while insisting he had nothing to do with Cindy's death. As for the Kevin Nyers murder, Bob Groff, Chris Walton's court-appointed lawyer, tells his client to accept the DA's offer of voluntary manslaughter and 6 years imprisonment.
