Logan Pithyou is an actual Kiwi Cabs driver.
The taxi used for the first and second episodes was owned by Logan Pithyou. While working as a taxi driver Logan Pithyou was involved in a car accident during the production period. The taxi was written-off and he purchased another Taxi which was was to be used in the later episodes.
The Next Big Nothing was featured on a Television program called 'Both Worlds' on Network 3 in New Zealand. The episode covered the life and times of Logan Pithyou and the series was pitched to Gibson Group Producer and current chief executive of NZ film Commission Dave Gibson.
The series was put on hold for one year due to the producers being tied up with other projects and being under budget. Currently work still needs to be done on the final episodes.
Andy Burt's line of "Just stick to the script" was written by Andy burt. He tried to change it on the day of filming but was told by the Director Josh Galuszka to just stick with the original line.
