- Camille returns home to an ecstatic Zeek, but not everyone makes an appearance at her welcome home party. Joel continues to spend long hours at work and away from Julia. Hank spends time with Adam and confronts his problems, while Amber runs away from hers.—Anonymous
- PREVIOUSLY Amy tells Drew she doesnt want to go back to Tufts. Drew agrees she should stay. Rocky tells Zeek if his wife were alive, he wouldnt hesitate to go to Italy with her. Hank tells Sarah he has read a book on Aspergers that Adam gave him to help with Max, but Hank sees himself in the book. Joel tells Julia that their marriage is not their problem, its her. Zeek tells Amber that she will regret not seeing Ryan off, so she does.
NOW
Amber eagerly cleans the apartment until she finds one of Ryans shirts and she sits and smells it.
Julia wakes up alone and sadly goes to make breakfast. The kids ask where Joel is and Julia says he went to work early. Joel walks in with donuts.
Hank goes to the Luncheonette and gives Adam a photo of Bob Dylan. Hank says Sarah told him Max was seeing a famous Aspergers doctor and asks Adam for the number. He says its for another matter.
Amy watches Drew fold his laundry. She gets a call from her mom and lies that its cold and snowing at Tufts. Berto asks Drew why she hasnt told her parents she has missed two weeks of school, and Drew says theyre working on it.
Zeek brings Camille home. The family has gathered; Camille passes out candy to the children.
Amber, driving up Highway 1, calls Adam and Crosby, fake coughs, and tells them she has to take a few days off.
Kristina hangs one of Camilles paintings in their house. Adam tells Kristina that Hank came in for Dr. Pelicans phone number. They think that if Hank had Aspergers and is now a successful business man, married (although divorced), father (although not close), maybe Max will turn out that way.
Adam takes the Dylan photo to Hank to have it framed. Adam asks if Hank plays poker.
Amber is sitting by the ocean when she gets a call. Sarah is at her apartment with chicken soup. Amber confesses she went for a drive and assures Sarah that she is okay. Sarah tells her to be careful and that she will call her again in another hour.
Joel has put the kids to bed. Julia asks where he slept last night. He says he didnt make the mess. Finally he says he got drunk and slept at the trailer. He has no time to talk he has a job meeting, an appointment with Victor, and then a poker game with Julias brothers. She says he can blow that off but Joel says that would just start the Braverman rumor mill.
Zeek asks Camille about her day and she says shes made arrangements to see an art exhibit with a classmate. She gives him a kiss and runs off. Zeek is not happy.
Hank is with Dr. Pelican and talks about his behavior as a child and then as a husband. He says he took an online test and scored high. When the doctor asks about his relationships, Hank relates his failed attempt to start a new life with his daughter in Minnesota. Hank thinks if he gets diagnosed, he may be able to fix his old relationships and ___ his new ones. The doctor recommends more meetings before he is willing to diagnose him and calls it a jump ball.
Drew rushes out of class and Natalie runs to catch up with him. Berto has told her Drew left Amy at the dorm and since she and Drew are only friends, he doesnt have to be weird about it. She reminds him about their astronomy field trip that night but he was going to blow it off.
Crosby is surprised Adam invited Hank to their game. Adam is upset Crosby thinks Hank is weird and says Hank has been a godsend to Max.
Amber continues her drive, stops off in a parking lot and drinks from a flask. She watches her dad walking though the parking lot.
Camille is late coming home having had an enlightening time at the exhibit. She rummages through the kitchen and there is nothing to make dinner with. Zeek tells her hes made reservations to go out someplace expensive and Italian.
Drew sets Amy up with his dorm and food service cards as the astronomy field trip is an overnighter. She seems worried and Drew tells her hes worried shes missing a lot of classes. She says she is not going back she does not like it at Tufts, she has no friends and her roommate does not even talk to her. Drew is the only thing that makes sense to her.
Julia visits Sarah and tells her everything. She is guilty she lingered on the kiss with Ed for a half a second longer than she should. Sarah says Joel is probably just cooling off.
Amber is drinking at the bar, watching her dad, working in the kitchen, from the corner of her eye. A regular hits on her and she is snide in return. He calls her a bitch and she throws her drink at him. Seth comes out of the kitchen and follows her out of the bar. She struggles with her car keys and he tries to wrestle it out of her hands. She declares its all his fault but he doesnt know what she is talking about. She tells him her fiancé left her and Seth reasons that shes afraid shes going to marry someone like him. She corrects Seth shes afraid shes going to turn out like Seth.
At dinner, Camille recalls the grandeur of the places she visited. Zeek reminds her she missed Ambers break-up and Kristinas election loss. Camille says life went on, and she was not really needed. She doesnt mean it in a bad way that its liberating. In fact, she has another art trip, this time to France, in three months. She has a plan to work at the studio to make most of the trip money. Zeek reluctantly acknowledges that she has it all figured out.
Sarah sighs when she sees Seth is calling her. He just wants to let her know that Amber is with him. Sarah confirms Amber had a bad break-up. Seth says his track record has not been good but he wants to take this opportunity to be Ambers dad.
At the Luncheonette, Hank is a more serious card player than anyone would have guessed and is upset that the men play with wildcards. Joel is not interested in any of their banter and when Hank offers to sit out the next game, Joel says he will too, and then everyone starts excusing themselves to go home, leaving Adam with Hank.
Adam feigns surprise when Hank tells him he went to see Dr. Pelican for his possible problem. Hank says the doctor's prognosis was "jump ball."
Drew watches from a distance as Natalie boards the astronomy bus. He turns back and returns to the dorm. Amy is in bed reading. Drew falls into bed and kisses her.
Joel comes home to a quiet house. He checks on Sydney and Victor. He finds Julia reading in bed. He tells her hes moving out.
At breakfast, Amber apologizes to Seth for what she said last night. She says she should not keep being mad at him. Seth says Amber is nothing like him, because she has her mother in her.

Sarah and Hank work together on the account but something causes Hank to walk out. Joel and Julia see a counselor.
