Kreiger misattributes the quote "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing." to Edmund Burke (as many others, including President John F. Kennedy, have done). While it is not known who first spoke words to that effect, Burke is known to have said "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, and unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."
In order to time Lana's contractions, Slater starts a stopwatch on his wrist watch, saying "Mark". Cherelene immediately says "Twain. No, that's barges." That is how Samuel Clemens derived his pen name, Mark Twain.
When delivering Lana's baby, Pam punches Lana in the face and says, "You old bitch! Now move that fat, smelly ass, you hear?" Getting quizzical looks from Malory and Lana, she then says, "A day no pigs will die ... anybody? Not a big Robert Newton Peck crowd, huh?" Title Explained: In most airports, the status of various flights is recorded on a board marked Arrival/Departure for the convenience of passengers. The title is a double entendre making reference this and also the 'arrival' of Abbiejean juxtaposed with the 'departure' of ISIS from South America (possibly as well as the contrast between birth and death, both of which occur in this episode).
