Detective William Murdoch : When did the reverend decide to rent out the rectory to your aunts, George?
Constable George Crabtree : Shortly after we moved here, I believe, sir. It was a tough life for a dock girl back then; they suffered for their trade. So the reverend and my aunts made a deal: they could stay in the rectory as long as they ran a respectable business.
Detective William Murdoch : Respectable?
Constable George Crabtree : Yes, sir. All the customers had to wear a tie; no exceptions. And my aunts had to save their money, look out for one another, and they had to go to church every Sunday.
Detective William Murdoch : And all of your aunts are named after flowers.
Constable George Crabtree : Sir, that was my aunt Daisy's idea. They called themselves the Flower Girls of Flower Hill. Sometimes a gentleman caller would bring the flower of the girl he was calling.
Detective William Murdoch : The reverend was a very wise man.
Constable George Crabtree : Yes, indeed he was, sir.

[George's aunts obviously run a brothel]
Detective William Murdoch : George, what kind of place is this?
Constable George Crabtree : It's a rectory, sir. The reverend wasn't using it, so he rented it to my aunts for the business.
Detective William Murdoch : What kind of business?
Constable George Crabtree : Sir, if you don't know, I'm not sure I should say.
Detective William Murdoch : I might have guessed, George.
Constable George Crabtree : Ah, that's good sir; it would have made for an awkward explanation.
Detective William Murdoch : George, was the reverend aware of all of this?
Constable George Crabtree : Oh, yes, sir. It was his idea.
-
Constable George Crabtree : I'm terribly sorry, sir; he got away.
Detective William Murdoch : Are you all right?
Constable George Crabtree : [rubbing his head] He got me in my least vulnerable part, sir.
