Anon meets Condorcet the Slug Girl at a library, and she shows him a book called "/v/irgin's Grand Adventures" that is presented as a story-within-a-story. Framed as an "award show RPG" that has the viewer first traverse a forest, then a desert, and finally "Dracula's Castle" for the last two awards, several of the award categories are experienced as levels in this 16-bit overworld. In these award presentations, the top five nominees are "obtained" as chest loot as the player walks around the level. Once an enemy is encountered, Anon must use the nominees to "attack" the monsters, with each of them inflicting "Sweep Points" representing their vote margins as damage. The nominee with the highest Sweep Points wins that award category. As a user-voted award presentation from 4chan's /v/, the presentation chronicles gaming in circumspect. Local favorites like Pizza Tower, Hi-Fi Rush and Armored Core VI win positive categories, while Forspoken, Unity, and Starfield get a fair shake with "negative" awards - a distinguishing feature of Vidya Gaem Awards presentations. Community submitted skits, bumpers, and indie game trailers dot the feature-length hobby award show and make it one of our most comprehensive and daring presentations yet.
