A train wreck on the farm
indialm23 March 2024
This series is about an immature father and his four sons who are attempting to run a huge farm in Missouri. The father, who appears to only be interested in having sex with women, but wants no relationship, wasn't smart enough to keep it a business proposition and hire sex workers. Instead He gets involved with two women, one who works for the farm and is an important part of keeping it going and a woman in Kansas City who has convinced herself that their union is "real." The boys all have a messed up idea of what marriage is and with a father like this it's no wonder. This show has more drama than any soap opera and it's almost hard to believe it's actually real.

4 boys' warning not to become their father
mccabe-shannon27 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This is a show about a hedonistic, narcissistic, self made rancher/farmer in northern Missouri and his 3/4 young adult sons (mostly just about the 3 oldest who work on the family land/business). They also show their new venture into opening a chain of carwash coffee shops.

I'm new in the reality tv world but have watched alot lately so I'm used to the train wrecks that often come. I just watched 7 episodes in a row so it kept me entertained or atleast coming back.

I enjoy the added bonus of this being about work and family dynamics more than just going out. I think the heart of everything is the family dynamics and just how big of a caution story the dad is! I'd love to hear what the ex says.

The dad at first has 2 woman and continuously says he has been open with them about not being exclusive etc they know he never wants that. He said Galyna knew about Brook but one scene was very evident she was aware he had a one time thing with her a year prior not a year long relationship. So no gold stars for being openly shady. Also Brook talking to his son about how she needs sex and to be touched. Trash. City.

The boys obviously have trauma from their parents relationship and while all of them have significant others, none are. Implement healthy relationships by any means. Jesse appears to be the best of them as far as potential cheating is concerned but still has commitment issues. Cole just needs to grow up he has a sweet beautiful girl who will surely be embarrassed by his behavior. And welll Steven I go back and forth on really.

The Nashville trip just soldified the dad's horridness. Yet another girl and I mean GIRL. No respect for his son's lives, using them as wingmen. It's terrible. Also anyone catch that he said he slept with galyna a week after they met? And she has worked for him for years? And he only got divorced a year and a half ago? And he was her boss?!?! Gross.

I actually think the show has potential if it shows the sons growing and learning from the trauma. I read ahead about the rest and sounds like the end was an interesting cliffhanger if there will be more.

Production value is good. Some pretty scenery. But obviously nothing to do near them they have to go out of state to have fun (Fort Worth, Montana, Nashville)

Show is a 6. Knocked down one over my disgust for the 51 year old man trolling for 20somethimgs while Galtba is home (I don't have the energy to start on her she is terribly manipulative as well).

What a dad you are
tbodkingriffin-8431622 March 2024
Watching this show was said how the dad thought women where pieces of meat when he went to bars and two put the three sons in the situation he did who will take over is a shame . And they need to learn more about bison business before getting them how they need vaccines for bucelous so it would not spread to there cattle .

And to tell the boys not to get married you no there is prenuptial out there if it don't work well they don't get nothing i grew up on a homestead worked at 10 milking cows and farming we didn't use the equipment they have today . If you need money sell some houses you have cut back on spending. And get using women has meat for yourself those to women are idiots for believing your lies . I would tell u to put your big boy pants on and such it do with out appreciate what u have.

Enjoyed the details on running a farm
lauralbritton21 March 2024
Enjoyed seeing the running of the farm and the family ties and the relationships with the brothers and their dad.

Psychological thriller with how the dad's past shapes all of his relationships. Would love to see the Mom side of things too.

The fight the brothers have with their personal relationship and how the dad tries to influence his kids relationships with their girlfriends.

I love Yellowstone and this is very similar to reality TV version. They are all handsome and nice to look at too.

I definitely want to see the details of what happens in season 2! How will the relationships with their dad go? Will Gahlena stick around?

This show is great
Trave119 March 2024
I'm confused by the negative reviews because this show was completely entertaining, it is high quality, the producing is perfect, the content is real, and the Mcbee family is extremely interesting. The more you watch, the more you want to know. It's interesting to see behind the scenes of the farming and ranching industry. I was enthralled in the families' dynamic and the way that they live. I loved each character on the show from the father, to each of his sons, their significant others, and the entire Mcbee Farm and Ranch employee-family (Galyna, Tessa and everyone else) that keeps the entire ship moving. These are sincerely good people and you can see that translated through the screen. It's incredible to see all of the people on this show and their hard work ethic, including the animals. I pray this family thrives and succeeds at all that they do and that their businesses grow each day that unfolds. Congrats to this family for all that they have achieved and will continue to achieve. I encourage others to give this show a chance because I watch a lot of reality TV but this one is different and Awesome!

The father needs to get a life
tmanno-8394421 April 2024
I don't know I can't understand this father. All he cares about is having sex with women and making sure his kids are not happy with their women. Hopefully the boys will wake up and stop listening to their father or they're going to end up old just like him and alone. Such a shame. The boys are old enough to make their own decisions at this point. Also, I forgot her name but the one lol girlfriend that just moved in with him or I should say is on her way too, he just sits there and kisses her ass because of business. I think she's out of her mind, she uses the business to keep him around. The funny thing is is that he allows it. If this was his son girlfriend doing the same thing he would have a hell of a lot to say about it wouldn't he.

What a mess
Watcher_8513 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This entire series is just a display of spoiled men treating women like crap and attempting to act like they're a true farming operation. If you know a TRUE farmer, you'll know they have their egos in check and quietly work the land year after year.

The father is the most disgusting among them. He acts like a 20 year old who can't get enough women to sleep with him. His boys aren't much better, with the exception of the youngest. He's probably better off because he spent more time with his mother than the others.

For the life of me, I can't understand why these "girlfriends" stay for YEARS with men who don't have enough maturity to commit to them. Are they that desperate?

I think you can DEFINITELY use the saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" for this show.

Peacock needs to do better.

Father is an butthole
cmlehmann18 April 2024
Father is an immature, wretched human being!

He puts his drinking and sleeping above everything and everyone else! He doesn't care if his behavior affects his kids relationships with their girl friends.

He deserves to lose everything. He probably slept around on his wife and that choice is what ended his marriage. He has a billion dollar company but drinking and sleeping with women is more interesting to him. I hope the more mature kids are able to get control of the company and kick his butt to the curb.

Woman in bars will be less interesting in him when he doesn't have money to throw around.

Do not waste your time!
kaylarounds11 March 2024
This show is based around a family with a middle aged divorced dad going through a midlife crisis and consistently giving his sons bad advice bc his love life failed! His sons are all spoiled, have commitment issues clearly bc of their parents marriage which has bled into all their lives. They all want the family business but all seem to lack one thing imo and that's that they forget they are family, it should be a family business, but instead it's a pissing match to see who can impress daddy the most, so instead of handling things like brothers like they should they just trash each other on national television!

All American Cowboys
lkrenek17 March 2024
Ok listen everyone. This show is raw and true grit. However the message is clear this family made there dreams come true and worked damn hard to get there. For a community not to see the benefits to letting them grow to help the community with jobs and all that farming has to offer well that's just being stubborn and blind to growth and being all American. I love the truth of show. Guys Cowboy up and stay strong. Dad saddle up and settle down. Haha. The boys will follow suit. Texas is behind all cowboys. Only the lazy and naysayers steal and talk crap. Get over yourselves and see the big long term picture to what this family can offer a community. Makes me sick to see true Americans be so blind to true growth. Do not give up cowboys show everyone you can and will strive. The more you give back the more you will get and more supportive naysayers will come around. Stand tall with true American pride. Go and rope that steer by the horns and buckle up for a great ride. Family and teamwork will make you proud to put that cowboy hat on each day. The love of the land is what we all should be proud of. Also that we have true Cowboys still able to grow our farms and herd our meats. A mayor or city official or any other professional would never be able to do it. These guys are crucial to our way of life. Everyone needed to Cowboy up and get behind the All American Cowboys of our world.

Reality TV artificiality
sundownsky12 March 2024
From the beginning, this series equates ranching with farming. Ranching is raising livestock on pastures and making your money from livestock sales. Farming involves cultivating crops and making your money from selling the crops. As for reality TV series, they thrive on drama. So embellishment, when it comes to portraying family squabbles and financial woes, is the norm on such shows. Don't mistake entertainment for accurate portrayals. Reality shows do not make their money from the businesses portrayed, as much as income made from the shows themselves. The cash cow is the show, not the business.

A different kind of reality show
JustJackie41214 April 2024
A very different twist on reality TV. It's their real life on a farm. Real life cowboys ranching in small town Missouri. It's Not a bunch of people living in a house or Forest and not a bunch of housewives shopping or going on lavish vacations.

It shows a different way of living. I like the family dynamic between the father and his sons as well as the relationship the four brothers have with each other. You also get to see the sons working to build their own lives in business as well as their relationships with their girlfriends. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to season two. I give it an enthusiastic two thumbs up.

a messy reality-documentary
kadencegould26 March 2024
So my mom and i were flipping through the channels and found this show randomly. We clicked on it because hey cowboys that's pretty fun. We're already pretty invested since we tuned in right where they were burning a bunch of stuff. Anyway while watching we were already invested in the messy lives of the mcbee boys- especially the dad! My mom and i personally love watching messy people on television so this show scratched that itch. I love the country vibe and the different personalities on the show, i'm interested to see if the boys can learn to heal from their parents divorce and see how their dynasty evolves.

Personally, i like this show. If you like watching dramatic families this show is good for that!

Disgusting toxic misogynistic
dordinen20 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I was hoping to see a show about ranching, but it is a show about a dysfunctional family of men and how they are emotionally immature, abusing they women in their lives and taking no accountability for it. Their sad coping skills are to justify not fully committing to a woman and lying to them as protecting the ladies. Nope sorry little boys, you are lying and withholding information to gaslight her and avoid a fight. Even though you say you don't want to be committed, they have no problems having their "non-girlfriends" cook, clean and "play" the partner role when they want them there. Then use the "technicality" they said they don't want to be "committed" or "official" to justify cheating and avoid any responsibility that comes along with being in a relationship.

Ladies, I hope you see the show and realize that you deserve better, people rarely change (the biggest predictor of future behavior is past behavior), love cannot "fix" them, and it's better to be in a healthy relationship or by yourself than in a bad one.

The desire to be in charge of the ranch has created an unhealthy competitive and jealous relationship amongst the brothers. Any parent who throws temper tantrums, and demands their children not develop normal relationships that have the chance to become a family, is a toxic, damaging person. Any person who throws a temper tantrum in order to scare people into submission and control is a toxic person who should be cut out of your life and if you cannot rid yourself learn to set boundaries. Yet here we are glorifying this emotionally stunted family.

I cannot believe people put this stuff on tv. At least to no gaslight us into pretending it's a farming show call it was it is, the real douche bags of the Mcbee dynasty.

Awesome show
crystaldoctor25 March 2024
This show is awesome and I sincerely hope there is a season two. I am already finished with the entire series and the whole thing was entertaining and made you want to know what happened next. I appreciate these farm and ranch workers and all the hard work they put out for the community. This show was well done, high quality and fun to watch. I like every character on the show and I feel like there's someone for anyone from the audience to connect to. It was interesting seeing how ranchers live and how they earn a living. I hope this show continues on and I am already wondering what's going to happen next. It's that good!

Overdramatize Much?
pyqzfmcx14 March 2024
This show is a reality show, as opposed to Yellowstone, which is a drama. Why, then, is there as much drama in this show as there is in Yellowstone? I mean, they really lay it on thick here. Within the first ten minutes of episode 1 they show footage of burning a field, and one of the McBees talks about how the wind can change on a dime and "if we're not able to control this fire, it could burn thousands and thousands of acres, burn down fences, burn down people's homes." It begs the question "Are you trying to make this sound way more exciting than it is, or are you really that wildly irresponsible?"

Also within the first ten minutes is a snippet of conversation about who drank all the almond milk last night, because so and so needs it for his protein shake. It was around this point that I decided I'd had enough.

If you like Jersey Shore/ Kardashians/ The Bachelor type stuff and you'd like a rural twist to your so-called-reality tv, this is your show.

There is nothing real about this
debbiepletcher26 March 2024
Being from north Missouri. I can tell you that there is nothing real about this show. For one everyone knows that all the farmers are armed and you show up on someone's property playing Billy Badass your likely to leave with more holes than you came with. Especially Baby Beefcake Jr. And the old man. They are giving the hard working farmers of Missouri a bad name. Our farmers are hard working, good people. Working to keep food on your table. They don't deserve to be shown this way. This is defiantly scripted. Don't believe any of it. It needs taken off the air. It is horrible and wrong. ......

Pretty disappointing
jamiehamill-471802 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, I love shows about cowboys and ranching/farming. But this ain't it! Steve McBee is a dirt bag! He's very immature and just wants to party and screw women! I'm curious, if they're in desperate need for 105 million to help their business, why is he building a huge house? Galayna needs to take a hike. Take her skill and go somewhere where she's appreciated! I can't stand this show! I'm going to finish it to get it out of my "continue watching" list, but it's gonna be a struggle! The train wreck you can't look away from! I'm sure they're very nice people in real life, but I understand now why the community hates them! They suck!!

NOT a Real Life Yellowstone. Not even close
ktay-3625431 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I came into this hoping to see a reality show actually based on the life of Cowboys, but this is nothing more than a half scripted reality show with the lead character being a narcissistic, misogynist, 51 year-old manchild up to his pathetically receding hairline hidden under a cowboy hat, in the throes of a full blown midlife crisis. He is the most unlikable of all of the characters. Maybe half of the episodes actually show five minutes of cowboy life, the rest is just ridiculous drama similar to what you would see on Jersey Shore. The eldest son was one of the leads on Joe Millionaire a few years ago, so that should tell you something. The female lead is no Beth Dutton, she is a spineless creature who allows herself to be pushed around and mistreated by this 51-year-old manchild. Is it entertaining? Sure, if you like utter trash. Just don't expect to learn much about the inner workings of a farm/ranch/car wash business. Sadly, this dumpster fire will probably get a second season, because it ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, as manchild runs away from his responsibilities and leaves the three ill-equipped boys to tend to the farm. On a positive note, the middle son, Jesse, is actually quite normal, and really does look like Casey Dutton, and two of the girlfriends on the show are extremely likable. The 1% of the show that actually focuses on the bison or landscape are actually quite beautiful, too bad there wasn't more of that.

Feels a little over dramatized
insptda27 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Is it entertaining? Kinda. I'm more interested in seeing the day to day of running the farm. The 1st episode seemed to focus on that... But then it spirals into random, self-inflicted drama that kinda feels fixed. Conversations don't feel natural, but I guess how can they when you prop up basic people in front of a camera. As other reviews state, the father is going through a mid life crisis & showing his awkward relationship with women which have seemingly passed on to his children. The show almost feels better off as a scripted drama as how much this show really enjoys diving into their personal relationships & theyre ridiculous decisions.

DAD'S A COWARD
pbmalcolmmalcolm12 April 2024
Dad tries to portray himself as such a badass, but he doesn't have the balls to be honest with the women in his life. He's leading on Galyna because he needs her to run his business, and he's leading on his sweet young thang because he needs her.......well, we all know what he needs from her. Typical gutless coward. Grow up and put your big boy pants on man. You're acting like a teenage boy. Really good example for your sons. You don't sleep with a woman you have no interest in....period. Find yourself a call girl that knows what the score is. Don't tell a woman you don't want a relationship and then take her to bed in the next sentence.

Not Sure
emilynkarl27 March 2024
I'm not at all into reality shows, but I love Yellowstone, so I wanted to see the "real" world version. The business aspects of the show were interesting, but the drama is too much. By episode 9, I was ready to drop-kick Galyna. She's controlling and manipulative to an uncomfortable level. She seems like a bright and driven woman, so I hope that the majority of the story is exaggerated or made up. It's really hard to watch. All the women on the show seem to be trying control or manipulate their men in some way, and the men act like horny frat boys (except Jessie). Again, I don't do reality shows, so all of the nonsense could be scripted. Scripted or not, reality TV is not for me.
