In the film, "Bus Stops," we follow the journey of Allen, a cantankerous man on his deathbed who believes he's destined for hell. Determined to negotiate his way out, he hosts auditions with leaders of various denominations. Nine different guests visit him; from a peaceful Zen master, to a to a fire-and-brimstone evangelist. As each candidate presents the case for their spiritual beliefs (or non-beliefs), Allen's skepticism and unending questions lead to riotous interactions and unexpected revelations. However, when a mysterious figure arrives uninvited, the audition takes a dramatic turn. Through witty banter and heartfelt moments, "Bus Stops" explores the complexities of faith, redemption, and the afterlife in a thought-provoking and extremely entertaining short film with a subtle twist that will leave audiences pondering long after the credits roll.
