Before he stops Jasmine and steers her into the coffee shop, Leslie Shermer, the man in the yellow scarf, is seen reading the paper with the headline "Bugsy Siegel Murder Rap!" but as shown early in the next episode, this edition was not published until the following day, after Siegel was arrested at the airport.
The three hit men are shooting at the victim with guns that have silencers as they walk up the hill toward the carousel. The scene shifts momentarily to the running victim and when it shifts back the guns are gone and the hit men pull regular revolvers from under their coats.
Siegel is shown riding or driving various 1948-49 model cars. He was killed in 1947.
