- Stuart has an encouraging first date with a yoga-studio employee named Annie, but ends up becoming unhinged. Meanwhile, upset that her frenemy Amelia (Jenny Slate) got a major-film role, Jessica demands that her agent/squeeze Glenn score her an audition, pronto. After a slip in the shower, Wade institutes an emergency-alert system for his friends.—Anonymous
- Stuart Pritchard (Stephen Merchant) is attending a yoga class with his friend and tenant, Jessica (Christine Woods) and hitting on the women there. As they leave the yoga studio, Jessica tells him to stop hitting on beautiful models and actresses.
They head into the cafe at the studio to get beverages. The counter girl, Annie (Lindsey Broad), makes conversation with Stuart about English phrases. Jessica pulls Stuart aside and points out that Annie is flirting with him and encourages him to ask her out. He does, and even though he falls into a large beverage cooler while doing it, Annie says yes and suggests they try a restaurant called Voudoir.
Meanwhile, Stuart's friend Wade (Nate Torrence) is taking a shower in his hotel room, where he's staying while separated from his wife. As he's stepping out, he slips, cutting his forehead slightly and narrowly avoiding a more serious head injury.
In Stuart's home office, Stuart is telling his assistant, Rory (Kyle Mooney), about his connection with Annie while he's texting her. He and Annie make plans for Voudoir.
Wade visits Stuart and relates how he fell in the shower and how he could have lay there unconscious and no one would know. He devises a plan to text Stuart every three hours "AG" for "all good."
Annie meets Stuart at Vudoir. When Stuart looks at the menu, he's secretly horrified by the prices of the entrees. When she orders a wine Stuart thinks is too expensive, Stuart secretly asks the waiter to don't have any left. This happens again as Stuart tries to get the cheapest possible wine. For an entree, Stuart orders the inexpensive caesar salad and hopes Annie does the same, but she's interested in the Kobe steak with truffles.
Jessica arrives at her acting class and can't avoid her frenemy, Amelia (Jenny Slate). Amelia boasts about her role on a Leonardo di Caprio movie, and gives Jessica backhanded compliments about her integrity and not taking many acting jobs.
Stuart is walking Annie to her door after having had a fun date. They're laughing as she says goodbye and they agree to do this again sometime.
At work, Wade is trying to convince his co-workers to be part of the "AG" plan, though it's not working.
At his home office with Rory, Stuart is boasting about his date with Annie and he how's playing hard to get via text with her.
Jessica comes into Glen's office; he thinks she's there to have sex with him, but she wants to talk about why she doesn't have jobs like Amelia. She insists on an audition and while she doesn't want to go on a tampon commercial audition, she likes the idea of the money and agrees to go.
Annie hasn't texted Stuart back and he's becoming agitated. He texts her again. He's still doing it when he's having lunch with Wade and their friend Kives (Kevin Weisman). He even brings his phone to the Verizon phone to make sure it's still working.
In Stuart's office, he is disheveled and angry that Annie hasn't gotten back to him. Rory thinks Stuart needs Jessica for a woman's perspective, so she joins them. Just then, Annie texts to explain she had something personal going on, and suggests they see each other Friday for mini-golf.
Annie and Stuart are having their second date, and though she is being friendly, Annie is checking her phone and seems distracted. When she excuses herself for a moment, Stuart steals a look at her phone and sees that she has exchanged texts with someone named Alex "Can't wait to see you." When he's alone, he calls Jessica for advice. She tells him not to get discouraged.
Jessica enters an office for the tampon commercial audition; she learns that an audition for a Martin Scorcese movie is also being cast in the same building. At that moment, her Amelia enters, and Jessica, embarrassed, tries to hide that she's there for the tampon commercial instead of the movie. She's unsuccessful.
At work, Wade finds himself locked into a hallway without his access card or his phone.
At a mini golf course, Stuart and Annie seem to be having a good time but Annie still keeps checking her phone, which is annoying Stuart. As Stuart is driving Annie home, she asks if he'll drop her off at a friend's place instead. He agrees and they hug goodnight but he wants to see who this friend is, so he tries to peak into the window. His phone rings -- it's Rory saying he hasn't an "AG" in Wade in five hours and he's worried -- and Annie and her friend catch him peaking in the window.
Annie comes out and Stuart explains he was upset because she was texting someone named Alex all night. He tells her off, and then she says, angrily, that Alex is her brother who was just diagnosed with leukemia. There's no fixing that and Stuart lives, driving home alone in the night again. He pauses at the billboard he sees all the time, with the blonde model. He looks at her wistfully.
In the stairwell at work, a janitor walks in and Wade hugs him with relief.
