This film was realised by amateur filmmakers with a low budget, but with an endless passion for the ancient Greek language and culture.
The tragicomedy is entirely spoken (and sung) in Ancient Greek, with the reconstructed pronunciation of 405 B.C. and in multiple dialects (Attic and Doric).
"Frogs" is directly based on "The Frogs" (405 B.C.) by Aristophanes, "Alcestis" (438 B.C.) by Euripides, "Symposium" (380 B.C.) by Plato, and the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" (3rd century B.C.).
