Ridiculous choice !SPOILER!
Norjev9 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
To start with I would like to mention that I really liked this season so far but this episode is just awfully ridiculous.

Let's say your only family member who is alive is your mother so in addition to make her feel happy you do everything for her. Secondly you have a Best friend who has always been on your side and never let you down.

And what does the main character does in a situation where he needs to decide whether he betrays his Best friend or helps his mother.

Absolutely!!! He betrays his friend without hesitation to save his mother who let him down for 30 years and hasnt even tried to find her son. And the kind hearted son Assane helps her instead.

Wow. What a good choice. Save someone you dont even know and who has never had interest in you and betray your Best friend.

Congrats to the writers.

Let the Chips Fall

Warning: Spoilers
Assane's mother is being used as a hostage to get hold of major works of art and a black pearl. After bringing both these items she is still not released. Why he thinks they will turn her over, even if he gives them the moon is ridiculous. Now he has turned his back on the man who has been at his side, not caring about him. This man does things that are beyond belief when it comes to work. He has impersonated people at great danger to himself. As long as he has a chance to get this woman, who never even recognized him as a son, he feels he has. He is not Arsene Lupin. He is a childish jerk. His skill lie in his abilities at subterfuge and disguise. As a child, he betrays his childhood friend so he can stay at the boxing gym and put the moves on a young woman. I really didn't like this episode. They have turned this guy into a monster.

Bittersweet.

Warning: Spoilers
For me, with this episode, they have turned Assane into a villain, and I will never look at him the same. Betraying your friend to make moves on a girl and stay as the "number one" at a boxing gym, which he got you into when you had literally nothing and no one. And if it wasn't enough, also betraying the friend who has always had your back no matter what and will literally do anything and even risk his life for you-for a "mother" who never wanted to be part of your life-is INSANE. I am sorry, but I am unable to stand for and/or root for someone who is capable of doing these things.

I obviously didn't expect that at all. Writers made an effort.

Who wrote that?

Warning: Spoilers
Fire who ever wrote that immediately. What a perfect way to anger fans. The show was PERFECT up until this point? Benedict Aronold would not betray someone like that, let alone LUPIN!!! Fire the writer. Tell them to go work at walgreens in france. There should have been someone Producer, Director, or even actor to tell them this was not a good choice. Not a good choice at all. Who would ruin a perfectly good show. That was the worst writing judegement in history, That upsets me so much I jumped to the last episode and I never want to re watch the series again. You've failed us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
