A must for fans of female pro-wrestling, and Gail Kim in particular

Warning: Spoilers
TNA's "Knocked Out" is a generally fulfilling 207-minute DVD package, containing interviews with several women who worked with the company at the time, interspersed with nine complete women's matches that took place in TNA's ring in 2007-2008. Despite the extreme length, the program flows well; the interviews are short and to the point, and the matches are, most of the time, exciting and fast-paced, definitely better than what WWE was producing with its Divas around the same period. Fans of Gail Kim, in particular, will want this DVD in their collection, as she is featured in 7 out of the 9 matches, she looks amazing, and she gives us quite a few jaw-dropping moments, like a missile dropkick from the top turnbuckle, a powerbomb from the top of a ladder, a hurricanrana from the top of a cage, and more. Other impressive wrestlers are Angelina Love, "Raesha Saeed" (actually Cheerleader Melissa), Taylor Wilde, and of course the destructive, dominant Awesome Kong. There are just two segments that I could have done without: the unnecessarily cruel head-shaving of Roxxi (the audience seemed to hate it as well), and a "wedding" sketch that, to be honest, I just fast-forwarded through. Other than that, "Knocked Out" is a must. *** out of 4.
