The budget for this film must have been so low as to be minuscule. Coupled with poor acting and a dire script, this didn't make for a satisfying short.
One thing the protagonist Paolo got right was that it's inconceivable that young people in the 21st century could have such antediluvian viewpoints. And the story had internal contradictions. Paolo was rejected by his love interest who never wanted to see his face again. Yet by the end of the film, he said they would still be friends despite the gay aspect. Why didn't Marina ever, in the past, say she fancied Paolo? After all, he was in the closet until the timeframe of the events were watching. So if she wanted him so badly, there'd have been no barriers against trying.
I've given three stars because I didn't see the twist at the end. But even that ending was vastly pessimistic in the context of a gay film.
