Well, Flick you too.... ;-)

I've never, and I mean NEVER!... Cried during any series, let alone a Documentary.

Sure, I've cried like a baby in certain scenes in certain movies, but that's normal... Right.?!?..

But this episode, it just hit me right in feels. My wife even came into my "man-cave" (It's a flicking office, but let me have this one) and hugged me, asking if I was okay, and what've happened since I was sobbing like that..

I told her the reason, she looked at me, shook her head, gave me a kiss on the forehead, then walked back out, only to turn around in the doorway and take a picture of me and calling me a little girl, before slamming the door, and running through the house laughing her as* off...

So, Rob & Ryan thank you so very much..

Now I'm the one having to go to the "bring your mother to school-day"...

But, totally worth it..!!!

12/10 - The extra credit is for being just about the most wholesome thing I've seen, ever!!

Another excellent season (of football and of TV).

Warning: Spoilers
Going into season two of Welcome to Wrexham, you have an idea of what to expect. A tight title contest with Notts County, which comes down to the final weeks of the season, but which, eventually sees Wrexham take the crown (and Notts go up via the play-offs). Despite knowing that going in, W2W manages to build up drama anyway, making it consistently gripping, and a show which is also very much elevated by interviews with staff, players, and locals. It certainly feels "lived in," and far more human than a lot of documentaries or a similar nature. Episodes this season which delved more into the history of the town, and into the fan community especially, were poignant and moving.

And yet, the moment at which we SHOULD hear most from the community, the players, the owners, we instead get a montage and a Queen song. I felt the ending here was anticlimactic, when the final whistle blows on the victory against Boreham Wood. An entire season culminates in three minutes of celebrations, which I wish had gone on longer and contained some kind of commentary. I'm glad to have also seen the victory play out on social media at the time, because what we got here wasn't totally satisfying. The shots with Phil Parkinson and the crowd, for example? Not here.

So, a great season, but also one which doesn't quite end on the high it deserved to. Perhaps we'll get to see and hear more of the night itself in season three. I'll certainly be watching.
