The Australian release in 1986 was re-titled 'Wave of the Future' from its original American title of 'Beyond Blazing Boards' which was what the movie had been known by when it had debuted stateside in 1985. Since that time, 'Back to the Future' (1985) had opened and been successful, and somewhere along the line a decision was made to re-title the film 'Wave of the Future' and have poster logo artwork style in the same manner as movie posters and promotional materials for 'Back to the Future' (1985).
The movie in Australia was re-titled from 'Beyond Blazing Boards' to 'Wave of the Future' and logo artwork designed in the style of the poster title logo artwork for 'Back to the Future'.
