Marlene Mattos and Xuxa met for the first time during filming, after 19 years not speaking to each other.
Pedro Bial is a longtime friend of Xuxa. He had previously documented a day in her life in 1987, as part of a Globo Repórter (1973) episode, which is also revisited in this series.
One of Xuxa's original paquitas, longtime collaborator and formerly her friend, Andréia Sorvetão was notably omitted from this series. Sorvetão and her husband Conrado first met on stage at Xou da Xuxa (1988). The couple publicly endorsed the former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, which caused friction with Xuxa due to their conservative views and commentaries which Xuxa considered homophobic.
Xuxa was reportedly startled with Marlene Mattos's reassurance of her views and working methods in the past, which Xuxa describes as abusive. "I wanted her to apologize".
Not featured in this documentary: Xuxa was considered to star in a movie directed by George Lucas in the 1990s, portraying twins. His company Industrial Light & Magic would provide the effects to double Xuxa on screen. The idea ended up in development hell until Xuxa Gêmeas (2006). Another canceled movie was "Xuxa Kid", which would be directed by Amy Heckerling and resulted in Xuxa em Sonho de Menina (2007).
