What A Train Wreck Warning: Spoilers
It's an horrific episode- from this mother who, as far as anyone can tell, is so averse to aging that her face is stuck in a phase of perpetual 'do you smell that?' position. From listening to her version of events, Tawnee was just a young girl who happened to keep finding herself in positions of vulnerability- friends with not an ounce of integrity and allow her poor hapless daughter to take the blame and find herself in a juvenile facility for nothing more than a pipe in the car. The horror.

Except with a rudimentary search, one finds Tawnee was often found in positions of her own doing that ultimately culminated in her confinement in detention. There she decides she's homosexual and falls for an absolute psychopath who the family loves, then hates, then loves, then hates. When this monster is discovered to have been sleeping with a friend of Tawnee's, her family actually encourages forgiveness, and welcomes her into their home to live.

One day, Tawnee admits to her mother that this abhorrent human being knocked her silly and did so in such violent fashion that a tooth was punched out, and mom calls the police!! Oh no wait, mom decides it's fine, and because Tawnee loves her so much, she just can't risk her daughter's anger and does nothing. The red flags fly so fervently you swear there's a storm coming that happens to drop said flags like a plague of locusts, and when the incredibly predictable finally happens, the monster is given a plea deal and allowed to receive a SIXTEEN YEAR SENTENCE for a violent, reprehensible death that was absolutely preventable had anyone bothered to interject on Tawnee's behalf.

Why this show decides to gloss over facts as if they're bothersome and unworthy of revealing when someone is murdered is the real mystery. Mom is so concerned with being cool and hip, and definitely not aging poorly. She's absolutely absorbed in her looks that one is left with the impression that nothing matters more than a frozen face in perpetual agony.

Sad story.

Where do I start..Have you seen the facial work mom has had done..Oh my God...Sooo terrible. And now she's doing this show she seems like she's semi high 9n something...But as many times as she's been with this guy or divorced that guy I can only imagine..I'm really not surprised that this story went that way...Alot of these stories you can see the train wreck coming,,even the family members warn them but it doesn't help..The parents I believe were a mess raising Tawnee...And they're still a train wreck..Show business is what they were in???Maybe their version...They just were a mistake from day 1...The only lucky one was the guy she first divorced...He probably ran like hell,,poor bastard...Only person here was the shows victim..But I feel the whole family led them in that pit...

Totally preventable had the parents raised an 'adult', instead of a 'friemd' who'd love them (this problem's WAY too common).

Yawn,

This is (yet) another story of parents (the mother - who says she worked 'in TV' is seriously frightening-looking; I've rarely seen such cheap, botched plastic surgery on someone. Terrifying. Not only that, this woman can't have been that old and needing surgery), who - in their misguided attempt to not alienate their daughter, really never taught her anything about how to act responsibly, and then, when she becomes involved with someone (who mommy let's move into their home - STUPID!!!) only kicks this young woman out AFTER she walloped her daughter, causing her to lose a tooth.

I'm from a family that never tried to influence my personal choices, etc., but, they did teach me how to act like a grown-up, and take responsibility.

This mother's over-riding fear of 'losing' her daughter, forever (even though the daughter never said anything like that) helped to cause this tragedy

There are times when a parent MUST let go.

There ARE times when a parent says, 'This is your adult life. You can't live here with your partner, but, I'm always your parent, and will always love you'.

This parent is one who - though it's never made clear how much 'stuff' she has bought for her daughter, and the daughter wasn't as being spoilt, as some I've seen, this was a problem whose roots can be traced back to childhood, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, it's a terrible crime to lose a loved one, but, this wasn't like something we all hear on the news. Stories like a person (minding their own business) being brutally attacked and killed after leaving their job, or something which truly had no logic.

This was a(NOTHER) parent, who, in an utterly misguided attempt to keep their child 'loving them', never put any rules in place, and when it became apparent the now adult child wasn't able to make rational adult choices, let her bring her (misguided) choices into their home.

Dumb.
