Everything is Ending, or is it about to begin? 5.1 ****

Warning: Spoilers
This opening episode of the season highlights a stinging indictment of capital punishment. Inability to find veins on a convicted drug killer and transporting certain drugs through the Post Office invariably saves the guy from the ultimate.

Chris Noth is now Governor-elect and Eli already perceives a potential problem with Noth's assistant. She is just too pretty and Eli wants her kicked upstairs so as to avoid gossip.

Alicia, who is planning to flee with Cary and the other 4 year associates to start their own democratic firm, sees the hard work and dedication put in by Diane and Will in their attempt to stop the execution of the convicted murderer.

Warning: Spoilers
Just streamed this season. This was truly an ending. After season 5 story arc, I had to fastforward consequence episodes.

It's weird how a well written series to that point could "kill off" the main character by showing audience why they should not be vested in her story any more. Her husband a corrupted bully who helps her achieve her goals. Alicia has skills but relies heavily on her peers to get results. We couldn't overlook her flaws any more.

Lost all respect/compassion for the main character Alicia and her inner circle. The family became villains Only reason left to watch was for Diane and her firm. Hence fast forward. Although Kurt has right wing views, we can see he's more honorable than Alicia.
