The Voice Season 25 final is set as viewers voted on Tuesday night (May 14) to send five acts through to next week’s much-anticipated season finale. Monday evening (May 13) saw the Top 9 singers take to the stage for their first live performances, but this time, it wasn’t coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay making the decisions. Instead, it was all down to the viewers’ votes. Carson Daly presided over Tuesday’s results show, where he revealed the top four vote-getters. The remaining singers then had a chance to perform one last song in hopes of winning America’s Instant Save to keep them in the competition. It was the competition’s oldest contestant, Bryan Olesen, who snatched the final spot after his last chance performance of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” He’d previously impressed on Monday night with an incredible rendition of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds.

“Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In,” a Hong Kong-produced action thriller, took the top spot at the mainland China box office over the latest weekend. But it was a quiet session and came ahead of a welter of new releases targeting the May Day public holiday.
The film, which is among those that have a Wednesday (May 1) official release date, earned $5.5 million (RMB38.9 million) between Friday and Sunday, according to data from consultancy firm Artisan Gateway.
The nationwide weekend total was a slender $18.7 million. That was the quietest theatrical weekend in China since the end of the country’s official anti-covid policies in December 2022.
Directed by the prolific Soi Cheang, “Twilight” stars the veteran martial arts star Sammo Hung and actor-producer Louis Koo in a tale of a youngster who stumbles his way into Kowloon’s notorious Walled City and discovers a new kind of order within its seemingly criminal chaos.

Oscar-winning Japanese animated fantasy “The Boy and the Heron” held on to top spot at the mainland China box office to record a second weekend win.
The film, which opened triumphantly on April 3, in time for a family-oriented long weekend, fell steeply in its second, non-holiday, frame. It earned $12.8 million (RMB90.6 million), according to data from consultancy firm Artisan Gateway. That gives it a running total of $93.8 million (RMB666) after 12 days on release in China. And, despite a release that trailed months after most other territories, that total makes China far and away the film’s highest-grossing territory.
“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” powered by Legendary Entertainment’s China wing Legendary East, helped itself to a further $10.7 million over its third weekend. That gives it a $110 million cumulative.
