I don't mean it in a cruel way, but that was as good as this first semi-final got for me.
The acts just weren't that good, and even those that did get through probably wouldn't have in previous years when this show was at its peak. I don't think anyone can deny that this show is now past that point by quite some way.
It was fine, don't get me wrong, BGT is still perfectly good entertainment, but it has lost a step and needs a bigger overhaul than just nicking a judge from another reality show.
The joke from Simon against 'Strictly' for that reason felt a bit redundant because of this.
